Tom Hanks is one of my all time favorite actors, and this is because of all the great movies he has been in. In fact, I do not think there is one role in the world that Tom Hanks could not play. He does every role perfectly, and I just cannot get enough of his movies. Of course, it is hard to list one movie that Tom Hanks is best known for, but if I had to I would say it was the smash hit Forrest Gump. This movie made over 678 million dollars in the box office, and became one of the highest grossing films of all time. This movie won so many different awards it is not even funny, and the whole time Tom Hanks gave a great performance. The only other actor that has been able to make this many movies making over one hundred million dollars each would be Tom Cruise, however, he cannot hold a candle stick to Tom Hanks. After doing Forrest Gump, he kept making big movies and went on to do movies like Apollo 13, and did the voice for Woody in the hit Disney movie Toy Story. Both of these movies grossed over 350 million dollars a piece. So that pretty much makes Tom Hanks box office gold, if you ask me. However, he did not stop there either. Afterwards he went on to do the great movie Saving Private Ryan which grossed over 482 million dollars worldwide. Of course, he is just the type of guy that does not like to stop making great movies, and after that he went on to do You've Got Mile, which made 250 million dollars as well as Toy Story 2, which made 485 million dollars. As you can see, almost every movie that he is in does very good. In fact, you may want to say they are all smash hits. His next big hit movie came very soon after that, and was called Cast Away. It grossed over 429 million dollars. Alone, this man has made more money in Hollywood than any other actor alive. He kept making great hits like The Terminal and Catch Me if You Can, which borough in 351 million dollars.

When you are making movies that turn out this much money all the time then you do not have anything to worry about. In fact, I am sure that his phone stays ringing off the hook day and night. Of course, he was making big hits along time ago, like his smash hit Big. Today he is even still making big hit movies like The Da Vinci Code, which brought in an unbelievable amount of money. In fact, The Da Vinci Code made over 758 million dollars, and was talked about in the news all the time. Because of this, movie a lot of things were run on the history channel about what The Dav Vinci code was, and if it is true or not. In fact, the sales fro the book that the movie was based on went through the roof, and it was an overnight smash hit. This movie turned out to be his highest grossing film of all time.

So as you can see, Tom Hanks is one of those actors that gets better with age. His biggest sealing movie of all time came very late in his career. However, this is not saying that the is not gong to be able to beat that movie, because he is going to keep making great movies until the day he dies. Tom Hanks is someone that is going to be in a lot of different movies, and he can play any part you give to him. All the movies I have seen of his have been great, and this is a man that you have to have in your DVD collection. After all, there is no man like Tom Hanks, and what he has done for Hollywood. I am sure his next few movies that come out are also going to be big box office hits.
