Thinking of Halloween Safety is very important

Added: 11/06/2006

Halloween is a holiday that is celebrated in October; October 31st is the precise date of Halloween. Halloween is the holiday that is thought to kick off the holiday season. This is due to the fact that Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's follow close behind Halloween. Halloween can be and is a very fun holiday; however people need to be safe on Halloween.

Halloween is a holiday that is celebrated in October; October 31st is the actual date of Halloween. Halloween is a very fun holiday to celebrate because people can and do dress up in some very creative costumes in order to go trick or treating or to a great Halloween party with family and friends. Halloween is a day in which people can fantasize that they are somebody else. In other words, fantasy, make believe, and creativity are alive and well on Halloween. All those things are alive and well on Halloween although some of the fictional characters that people dress up as are quite dead. Pardon me for that small bit of Halloween humor. Even though Halloween is supposed to be a fun holiday that is filled with candy, candy apples, ghosts, and goblins; Halloween can be very scary as well if people don’t follow some Halloween safety suggestions.

Most people only think of fun and games when it comes to celebrating Halloween with their friends and family. However, if people are going to celebrate Halloween correctly then, they must think of Halloween safety. By thinking of Halloween safety, your kids will have the ultimate amount of fun and fantasy on the scariest night of the year. First of all, Children should go trick or treating with a responsible adult, preferably a parent and not by themselves. Second, Children should have a definite time when they start and when they end trick or treating because in October it usually gets dark quite early. It is recommended that Children should trick or treat for more than three hours. Three hours is plenty of time to amass plenty of Halloween candy and other Halloween goodies. Third, Children should only go trick or treating to the homes of the people that they know. This is because some children should never talk to strangers let alone accept candy and other sweets from them. In addition, some people have been known to put things such as razor blades and needles into Halloween candy, caramel and cinnamon apples, and plain fruit and pass these items out on Halloween to unsuspecting children. In fact, when thinking of Halloween safety it is very important to check your children’s Halloween goodies for the above dangerous items. The Halloween candy safety rule of thumb is as follows: When in doubt, throw it out. In fact, for many years hospitals have agreed to x-ray Halloween candy free on Halloween. This is because hospitals are always thinking of Halloween safety.

There are more safety tips for Halloween that people should follow. If you had out items for Halloween it would be safer for children if you gave them a small amount of change, let’s say a dime per child. In addition, instead of candy or fruit you could hand out raisin to children or coupons that children could redeem at certain restaurants or their favorite library or bookstore. In addition, some bowling alleys have coupons that can be redeemed for free games of bowling. Moreover, many malls all over the country are allowing Children to safely trick or treat at various stores within the mall in order to avoid walking from house to house in the dark of night away from speeding cars, vicious dogs, and questionable goodies . Halloween should be a treat for everybody and if people think of some Halloween safety it will be. There should be all treats on Halloween and no unexpected tricks.
