The anticipation of the Holidays, especially Christmas is just as wonderful whether you are an adult or a child. The favorite part of gathering the family together and doing the Christmas Tree decoration, seeing ornaments from your childhood put on the tree with care and love. The Christmas lights twinkling and bringing everything to life. Christmas is a time when we as adults get to re-live our childhood memories and even act childish for a little while. That is all a part of Christmas magic. Remember, Grandma baking cookies in the kitchen and Mom sitting the table for a great Christmas feast. Christmas tree decorating is a very important step in getting the Holiday off to a roaring start.
Next, add you’re beautiful, ornaments to the tree branches, some people say you should put the heaviest and larger ornaments toward the bottom of the tree. Last, add your tree topper which can be an angel or a twinkling star or anything else that is special to you, add the tree skirt around the tree and tinsel (as long as you have no pets in the house) and garland if you do have pets in your home. If you have a fresh cut Christmas tree instead of an artificial pre lit Christmas tree use this little formula to help your tree have a longer life span: just mix bleach about 1tsp., corn syrup light about ½ tsp. and quart of water, mix it all together and place it into your tree stand. It’s that simple.

Queen Victoria’s husband, Prince Albert of England, decorated Windsor Castle first ever Christmas tree. Other English families of wealth began to copy the Prince, and started to decorate their own trees.
The 1830’s was considered the first ever recording of a Christmas tree being displayed by settlers from Germany, who now resided in the state of Pennsylvania. The settlers had a lovely show they all put on for the township to help raise some money for one of their local area churches.
In the 1890’s ornament’s were being made in Germany and Christmas tree decoration was becoming very popular in the United States too.
The Europeans preferred smaller trees averaging about three to four feet in their height, whereas, American’s had to have their Christmas tree’s as large as possible and filling space from ceiling down to the floorboard.
