For those who are looking for adventure, there are few places that can beat Six Flags Great Adventure Park in Arlington, TX, better known as Six Flags over Texas. This park is breathtaking and for those who enjoy the thrills of coasters; this is the place to be. With rides that will accommodate any age, Six Flags is the perfect family vacation destination.

Looking for an amusement park that latterly takes your breath away before you even go on any of the rides? You’ll find that at Six Flags Great Adventure in Arlington, Texas. This park is located between Dallas and Fort Worth. With the incredible weather conditions of Texas, any time is a great time to take a vacation here. From the moment you enter the park, you will be amazed.

Before you head out, there are some things that you should do to prepare. One is to bring sunscreen. The hot Texas sun can cause sunburns, and it is best if everyone slathers on sunscreen before leaving. This will give the cream time to soak into the skin before you even hit the park. Bring some extra, as there are so many rides at Six Flags Great Adventure, you are sure to spend a full day, if not two or three days enjoying the park. Keep in mind that if you are planning on riding the extreme roller coasters, you will not want a lot of valuables in your pockets. Bring whatever you like, however, when you first enter Six Flags Great Adventure, go right for the locker rent area and get yourself a personal locker to keep all of your valuables, keys, sunscreen and what ever else you do not wish to carry around.

There are so many incredible rides at Six Flags Great Adventure, you may not know where to start, however grab a map of the park when you first enter. In addition, there are large standing maps in many areas to point you in the right direction. There are not many people who can visit Six Flags Great Adventure and not go on the Superman. Be warned, this ride is not for the faint-hearted. Just looking at this coaster will make you need to utilize deep-breathing exercises. However, you will have quite a story to tell friends and family members.

The Superman, The Batman , Dive Bomber Alley, Texas Giant, Titus, Wildcatter and Mr. Freeze are considered intense roller coasters and you must prepare yourself for an incredible ride. Younger children will not be allowed on this ride, as there is a height requirement. These rides will swoop you up, soar you around, dive down faster than you could ever imagine possible and have you grabbing for something to hold onto after you are done.

There are plenty of milder rides, as well. Moderate rides that are a total blast are The Acme Rock-N-Rocket, Caddo Lake Barge, Conquistador, Crazy Legs, Flashback, the Judge Royal Scream, La Fiesta de las Tazas, La Vibora, Oil Derrick, Runaway Mountain, Shock Wave, Sidewinder, Gunslinger and Runaway Mine Train.

Have little ones? Not to worry, Six Flags Great Adventure has made sure that they will have a blast as well. YOSEMITE SAM’S Texas Tea Cups, Yosemite Sam’s Gold River Adventure, Spongebob Squarepants 4-D The Ride, Coyote’s Grand Canyon Blaster, Texas Chute Out, Sylvester & Tweety’s State Fair-Is Wheel, and Taz’s New York Adventure are just a few of the many rides that are devoted to smaller children.

You will find great dining, everything from delicious hotdogs to take on the go to air-conditioned restaurants to sit down and give your feet a rest.
