The wedding polish women have come to like are also short ceremonies.  Polish weddings are known more for elaborate after parties, than they are for there long and drawn out weddings.  Even thought the wedding ceremony is very beautiful with flowers and all the trimmings, the fun generally starts at the after party.  This is not all that uncommon though.  Like most weddings across the world, weddings in Poland tend to have huge after parties where everyone can kick back, relax, and enjoy the day. This is the time when everyone can just take a big breath and realize that it is all over and there is no more planning to do. It is best to rest after the ceremony because that is when nothing can go wrong. Once everyone is dancing and drinking you know that the day is over. There is a happy couple and they are going to spend the rest of their lives together.
