The Waterboy is a movie that made Adam Sandler a house hold name. This was his second film that he made that grossed over 100 million dollars (the first film was called The Wedding Singer, which was also a very successful movie of his). That just proves that everyone loves to laugh, and if you can make them do that you will be a big time actor. Adam Sandler can do just that as he proved in the movie The Waterboy. This was a movie that prove to be very profitable making over 160 million dollars in the United States alone (that is more than a lot of movies make world wide). Whenever you make a big name of yourself in a movie, and then come back to make another one you are going to have fans. This is what happen when The Waterboy came out. Adam Sandler had just gotten done with The Wedding Singer not to long before that and then starred in this movie. Lots of people remember him from the first movie and chose to go see him again. This happened all over America and led to a big profit on The Waterboy. This is a movie you must see if you are a fan of Adam Sandler.

This movie is one that did not have a very deep plot and that is fine for most comedy movies. This is a very basic slap stick comedy movie about a waterboy that gets a chance to play football. The waterboy (played by Adam Sandler) has a lot of rage that he bring into his tackles on and off the field. That is what leads to a lot of the funny moments in this movie. If you are not a fan of slap stick humor this is not the movie for you. As I said before, it does not have a very deep plot, it is just there to hold the movie together. The whole thing is made to make you laugh, and on that account it delivers. Although I do not think of this movie as being one of Adam Sandler's funnier movies, I do think that is was a fun movie to watch. When you are looking for a comedy movie, there are a lot of different ones that you can choose from. There are the ones that are slap stick (like this one) and then there are the ones that make you think a little bit about the humor in it. Of course, this is the perfect movie for Adam Sandler to be in, because the fans that like him are of the teen age. Most teens do not like movies with a deep plot or humor that makes you think. They like the humor that is more up in your face funny and that is what this movie delivers. When you know the people that come to see your movies, you can give them what they want. Although Adam Sandler does try to do more than just comedies, he usually does not get as good reviews when he does this. That is because everyone sees him as a funny guy.

If you have not had a chance to see The Waterboy, I do not know what you are waiting for. The movie has been out for a long time and you have had lots of time to go and see it. So there should be no more putting it off. If you are ready for a night of laughing then this is the movie that you should go out and rent. I feel that this is a movie that more teens are going to like then older adults. That is just because of the type of comedy that it is. However, that does not mean that adults will not like it and maybe you should give it a try. This really is a funny movie that the whole family will like.
