This basically means what qualities a person should have if they want to reply to this person. A sense of humour and good looking seem to be the main things that a singles UK person is looking for.
The UK personals section has been compared to a UK dating agency. Not many people are sure why people compare a personals section to a dating agency. They seem to be miles apart in comparison. This does not happen in a personals section, in any personals section you are expected to do the looking, so that if you do not meet anyone special you can't blame the newspaper. If you feel comfortable looking through the personal ads in local and national newspapers then that can be your way of searching. But if you want someone else to do the searching for you, then a dating agency is more then likely the way forward for you.
