The Start Of Star Wars, The Phantom Menace

If you are looking for the highest grossing Star Wars film of all time, then you only have to look back to 1999. In this year is when Star Wars Episode I came out, called The Phantom Menace. This was the highest grossing Star Wars film going by how much money it made, however, if you go by how much movie tickets have gone up since the last three Star Wars films came out, then it is only the third highest selling Star Wars of all time. Thus meaning that the first three Star Wars that were made a long time ago, all out sold The Phantom Menace.
I know that there have been a lot of Star Wars movies that came out, and it all started a long time ago. However, the highest grossing (as far as amount earn goes) is The Phantom Menace which is Star Wars Episode I. This film is the fourth Star Wars movie that was made, and it is the start to the whole saga of movies. It is cool to look at the fact that The Phantom Menace is the highest grossing Star Wars film ever, but at the same time when you look at the fact at how much movie tickets cost now, the old Star Wars movies still made more money. When all is said and done The Phantom Menace made over 924.3 million dollars. This is just an unheard of amount and a lot for any film to make. This movie was really good and did start a lot of video game spin offs. Because of the big racing part in the film, you got to see a lot of Star Wars racer games come out. Although this was a cool part in the film it was not the main plot, and it is still one of the most remember things about the film. Although this film came almost 16 years after the last Star Wars movie was made this one is the first one in the saga. Although I do find it funny to watch them in order because the last three movies have such bad special effects compared to the newer movies. Because of this, it really does not make a lot of sense. Usually as newer movies come out they have better special effects, I guess that is why I usually do not like prequels. However, if you want to know how the other Star Wars films came to be, then you are going to have to watch these films. Of course, we have seen a lot of older people not really caring how it came to be.

In The Phantom Menace the big thing that happens in this movie is that they meet Anakin Skywalker, who is known later on as Darth Vader. Of course, he is just a small kid in this movie and does not know that one day he will have a kid, named Luke Skywalker. Then he is going to cut off his sons hand. Of course, this is many years away. In fact, that is many movies away. Also, in The Phantom Menace you see that everyone is scared because the evil Sith has returned. In the movie they talk a lot more about why this is bad, but you can take a wild guess why. The movie is very cool to watch and was a great way to end out the 90's. The next movies, of course, came out after the year 2000. In fact, one came out in 2002 and the next in 2005. They just pump these movies out like clockwork. Anyway, this is a great movie to see if you need to know what happened before the first Star Wars movie which came out a long time ago. It does do a good job helping to fill in the pieces of the story, and if you ever read the books, then you can see where this movie is going. In fact, I know a lot of people that started reading the books before the first Star Wars movie came out. The movies are great and a must see.

The Phantom Menace is a well done movie and is the best out of the three news ones that they went on to make. However, I think this is because people got a little turned off after watching the first one. They can see that the movies are different from the other Star Wars they grew up watching, but at the same time they had already paid money to see it. It was a pretty good movie, but not one that I will ever go out and by. I own the first three movies that came out a long time ago that are the real Star Wars movies. In fact, the fourth movie in the film is the one called Star Wars. It is called Episode IV: Star Wars, and that is where the Star Wars saga starts for me.
