The Social Criticism Of Relationship Issues And Feminism

Before the women's movement of feminism, there was a very different dynamic setup within the dynamics between men and women and their relationships. The men had the bread winning role and financial responsibilities while the woman was there to take care of the home, children, and to stroke the man's ego so to be taken care of herself. When the sexual revolution and Feminism came along, the whole pyramid toppled on the men, and the women came into power next to the men, instead of beneath the men.
The fight for the women’s movement and sexual revolution of the 1960’s is definitely one of the most relationship changing movements ever accomplished. When men were always the ones in financial power, the woman’s job was to take care of the children, the housework, and to stroke the man’s ego. Many times this is a social criticism of those who feel that today’s marriages are less important than ever before. There is also the higher than ever divorce rates in America to up hold the negative thoughts and beliefs about today’s relationship issues and the various views still portrayed over feminism.

Although more of each men and women believe in equal rights than ever before, there are many women who would not call themselves feminists and many men who feel feminism sourly forever shook up the apple cart, for themselves as men overall and personally. The social criticism of relationship issues and feminism surely runs from one end of the spectrum to the other on personal opinions and social group beliefs. Social criticism of feminism has always been there and always will because feminism is seen in so many different ways and views between genders.

Social criticism of feminism has shown to blame the women’s movement for the highest number of illegitimate children that has ever been born to single mothers in American history. There are many whom strongly believe in the power of marriage including many Christian movements and most all other religions of the world in past and still today. In America, the feminist movements of America’s past are mostly or even completely blamed for the American social fibers, family values, and ruining the back bone of America all together.

On the other side of feminism, the gender balance was and still is the only thing to do about gender equalities of women and men. For their sisters, mothers, and daughters, these women fought inequality in rights between men and women of pay, job positions, voting, personal choices of their own bodies, and freedom of abuse. Men were to no longer be allowed to get away with in equality practices, sexual control and harassment, or any other past practiced inequalities. Another very strong social criticism of feminism and of what would have happened if there had not have been such a huge feminism movement is the women’s legal rights to an abortion. In the legal rights of a woman and her unborn child, the father of the child has little to no choice in which ever a woman decides to choose in the fate of their unborn baby. This is one of the biggest, if not the most passionate arguments of debates between men, women, religions, and government rights thought to be connected directly and indirectly to the feminist movement.

All though there definitely are many to most all men today and women too, who believe in some form of equality and rights of the original feminist movements; but just as anything else based on the pendulum swinging back and forth, it is very hard for most societies to find real balance of equalities between genders. There are always pros and cons to any real important issues in any culture or society. There is always going to be social criticism of something, no matter the issue and no matter which side you are on.
