The Need For Ongoing Feminism Supportive Organizations

Until the entire world's population shows complete equality among the sexes, there will be feminism supportive groups attempting to make people aware of the conditions that many women must endure. It is important to all women to know that there are many countries in which women are treated as objects and will never know the freedom of living their own lives and making their own decisions.

Women in the United States may not realize that there is not total equality among men and women. Fighting for equal rights has always been a battle, and the only reason that things may appear to be equal, is because feminism supportive organizations have made the struggle for women. Women should be keenly aware that men are almost always paid more money than a woman will be; for the very same job. In today’s world, with so many single and divorced mothers, receiving equal pay could mean the difference between putting food on the table or not. It is the women of feminism supportive groups that will fight these battles for all women.

The situation in the United States is minimal in comparison to many countries around the world. Most often in some countries in Africa and certainly in the Middle East, women are not seen as people. Women are seen as objects. Women are born and raised to believe that men are superior and men have all of the control. The men will decide what women must wear, how they should behave and how they can live their lives. Some women will be forced into marriage, having to spend their lives with men that they do not love. Other women will be sold as sex slaves. There are women who are killed, some by stoning, because they had sex outside of marriage. What is seen as a women’s right in the United States, can bring a horrible and brutal death to women in other counties. It is the goal of many feminism supportive groups to make the world aware of what is happening.

It is a sad world when women will never know what it is like to choose her own clothes, be allowed to hold down any career she wishes and to live by making her own choices. The women who are oppressed do not usually see the other side of the world; they may not realize that they could even have choices.

Feminism supportive organizations will continually attempt to make people aware of all of the situations in which women are treated unfairly. Without these groups, women would not be in the situation that they are today. There is still much work to be done, still many inequalities to be fixed; however women’s rights groups and feminism supportive organizations will hopefully never stop to aid women and bring awareness. The more people who become aware and join these groups, the faster the world can be changed into one of complete equality. There is power in numbers and there is power in knowledge. If more people become aware of what is happening, and they join together to unite in one powerful union, perhaps women can be spared a life of oppression.

Most often, the women in countries who are severely oppressed are not allowed to speak out. If they did so, they could be thrown in prison or even killed. For the sake of all women, it is the duty to join together, get in touch with feminism supportive organizations and fight for the lives of all females. Perhaps one day, men and women will be equal, women will be able to have all the freedoms that men do and they will all be able to live as they please. At the very least, feminism supportive groups believe that no women should be punished for having her own ideas.
