The Movie "Lord Of The Rings" Deserves The Spotlight

Now who haven't seen the Lord of The Rings would be a jerk. The movie is absolutely outstanding which had a great response on the charts as well as on the cinema. The movie is a fictional story based on a novel "Lord of the Rings" by J.R.R. Tolkien. The movie follows the same story line with a few minute details changed. The movie was able to win seventeen academy awards proving the marvelous work of art that the director Peter Jackson put forward. The movie has everything for everyone, there is love and romance for girls, fighting and action for boys although the movie is fictional but it does not mean that it isn’t for adults as well.
Peter Jackson is not just some director he is actually one of the most talented directors that Hollywood has. He is a New Zealand filmmaker who is an academy award winner. He is not only known for directing, producing and writing “Lord of the Rings” but is also famous of directing a remake of “King Kong” in 2005. Although the main idea of Lord of The Rings has been taken from the novel of J.R.R. Tolkien but the movie has been directed and executed marvelously. The three Lord of the Rings films won four Golden Globe Awards, 13 BAFTA awards and 17 Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director.

The Lord of the Rings film trilogy contains three action, fantasy, adventure blockbuster films: The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001) abbreviated 'FotR', The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002) abbreviated 'TTT' and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003) abbreviated 'RotK'. All these movies are set in fictional world where a young Hobbit Frodo Baggins and a companion of his set off to a journey of destroying that One Ring that can corrupt anyone who wears it giving him all the power in the world and to ensure the annihilation of the Dark Lord Sauron. The movie shows his journey and other events happening while he is on his quest where Frodo meets lots of people’s and creatures who either help him or are against him. In the end Frodo does manage to destroy the ring and saves the Earth.

The book of Lord of the Rings was itself inspiring to Jackson which encouraged him on making a movie. He still wondered why anyone has not taken this novel as a project yet. But he got the privilege of directing this movie with his partner Fran Walsh. They both worked on these films making the characters and the story to not just appear as fictional and fake but real and lively. New Line Cinema’s decision permitted the Lord of the Rings to be directed in New Zealand. This included everything from story writing, directing, scripting to shooting and special effects. The three parts movies were shot over a period of two whole years at over one hundred locations around New Zealand. Despite of the large budget this movie had, the outcome was twice as good as the amount spent on it. Every cinema of every country was house full till the movie was on the cinema. People loved the story, the characters and the special effects which were not at all counterfeit and unreal.

Besides the story line of the movie the cast and the crew that worked in front and behind the cameras were also astonishing and talented. The cast includes Elijah Wood, Orlando Bloom and Viggo Mortensen. The movie though lasts for whole three hours which is a long time period but once you get started it does not make you feel like the movie is being dragged or is getting boring. It just gets better and better, increasing the suspense and thrill as each minute passes by.
