Being a child star is a tough thing and it is usually a result of parents pushing the child to get into the spotlight and sing and dance for the people. Lindsay Lohan was allowed to make her choices when she was young but her mother has always been her manager and what little girl doesn’t want to impress their mom at all times? People think they know Lindsay Lohan because they see her in the news crashing her car, partying against court orders, and checking in to rehab. Almost any teenage girl put in her situation would have probably fallen prey to the same demons if they were left to their own devices. Lindsay Lohan was born on July 2, 1986 to Dina and Michael Lohan in New York City. Her parents wasted no time getting Lindsay Lohan involved in the entertainment business as Lindsay was modeling by the time she was 3 years old and doing television commercials. She started acting in regular roles at the age of 10 when she got a part on the daytime drama Another World. Two years later she was tapped by the Disney Corporation to star in their 1998 remake of their 1961 smash hit comedy The Parent Trap. The movie did not set the box office on fire but Lohan’s performance won her critical accolades and soon Disney was signing Lindsay Lohan to a three movie deal. Lindsay Lohan had done more in the acting field by age 12 than many other actors could only dream of accomplishing in a life time. By 2001 she was taking time off from acting to record her first album in a 5 album deal with the newly resurrected Casablanca Records. Her debut album Speak went on to sell more than one million copies and it looked like Lohan was on her way. But with friends like Paris Hilton to help her the young Lohan soon got mixed up in the Hollywood elite party crowd and said and did some things she is not proud of and has made her the face of tabloid news.

What you don’t know about Lindsay Lohan is that she saved her two brothers from drowning once, has a great relationship with her siblings, she was an honors student in school who excelled in math and science, is a huge fan of Marilyn Monroe, and she turned down a role in a movie once because she was afraid the role would make her look arrogant to the public. The public should spend some time getting to know Lindsay Lohan.
