The Life Of Natalie WoodNatalie Wood was an actress ahead of her time. Even as a child she was already making movies on the big screen and causing a stir in Hollywood. She dated some of the biggest entertainers that ever lived and starred in some of the most famous movies of all time. If it was not for her accidental drowning in November of 1981, you may have seen even more big hit movies from the beautiful Natalie Wood.
Born in San Fransisco, California, Natalie Wood had no idea she was on the fast track to career stardom. As a child, Natalie Wood, had already been in some big time movies like Miracle on 34th Street and The Ghost And Mrs. Mair. These were big moves, but this was just the start to her movie career, and it opened the door to a lot of other opportunities. Natalie was not the only member of her family to hit the big time. Her sister, Lana Wood, also hit the big screen as a “Bond girl” in some of the James Bond movies. Natalie's sister went on to be a playmate by being featured in a Playboy Pictorial as well. This gives you an idea of how beautiful the Wood Sisters were. You have to be pretty hot to be in a Playboy Pictorial.
Later, Natalie Wood went on to star in a movie with James Dean by the of Rebel Without A Cause. Of course, one of the most well known movies she was in happens to be West Side Story. Natalie Wood was a real looker and that was seen in the people she dated. She had a relationship with Dennis Hopper and Michael Caine. Of course, she also dated the “King” himself, Elvis Presley, off and on for a while. If you are dating the King of Rock and Roll, you must have something going for yourself. Later on, she would go on to marry Mr. Robert Wagner. There was a problem with their marriage when Natalie Wood claimed that she saw Mr. Wagner in a “compromising” position with another man. Robert Wagner denied the claim. The truth will never be know, but Natalie would go on believing what she saw.
In November of 1981, at the age of 43, Natalie Wood drowned on her Yacht near Catalina Island. The drowning was ruled accidental, but speculation of this accident still continues to this day. Before her untimely death, Natalie Wood was nominated for three Academy Awards. She did win a Golden Globe Award for Most Promising Newcomer. She also won a Golden Apple Award for Sour Apple. She received the Sour Apple for being the Least Cooperative Actress of her time. I guess when you make a lot of big hit movies you do no have to be cooperative. Either way, everything she was in turned to gold.
It is sad that Natalie Wood died at the young age of 43. I have the feeling she would of went on to make many more movies over the course of her lifetime. One thing is for sure, she lived a full life. Natalie dated the best of the best, including the King of Rock himself. She also starred in some big movies as a child, as well as an adult. I mean, Miracle on 34th Street and West Side Story went on to be American Classics. It is always great to see so many famous people come out of one family. Together the Wood Sisters took Hollywood by storm, both on screen and in the nude. Natalie Wood will go on to be an actress that is never forgotten. Many still watch her movies today. For movies made that long ago, that shows the high quality the films were. Natalie Wood will live on in your hearts forever.
