Basically the movie “The Hot Chick” starts with a scene in Abyssinia showing a princess who is unhappy to be married by someone she did not like. She switches body with a slave to get out of the marriage by the help of enchanted set of earrings. The scene of the movie switches to Rachel McAdams as Jessica Spencer who is shown to be a stubborn, bossy cheerleader who does not feel for other’s feelings. Later on she and her group of friends go out for shopping. They enter a new age store where they look around for some stuff, including those enchanted earrings. After Jessica finds out that those earrings are not for sale she decides to steal them and leaves the shop.
On their way from the mall the girls have some trouble with the car. There they ran into Rob Schneider playing Clive, a robber who just robbed a store and only things he could steal from there are drinks and nachos. The girls confuse Clive as a service station employee and ask him to check their car. Clive wanting to lessen the suspicion does so. There Jessica drops one of the enchanted earrings leaving with a single earring. Clive finds it lying on the floor and picks it up thinking it might be expensive and get him some money is return.
Later in the movie “The Hot Chick”, Jessica and Clive wear their respective earrings at the same time which triggers a body changing event. Clive wakes up t be in Jessica’s body and Jessica wakes up in the body of Clive. To make things more intense and interesting, Jessica who is now in the old, weird body of Clive the robber has a cheerleading contest and a school prom coming up. But before that she has to convince her friends that she is really Jessica their friend. She and her friends go through some weird social situations but they manage it somehow. This way Jessica and Clive have an experience about the things they were ignoring while they were living their lives and makes them realize about the things that are more important.
Jessica freaking out the entire time finds Clive to get back that one pair of earring to get her rightful body back. But Clive is enjoying her body by working at a strip club and is not ready to exchange. Jessica and her friends steal that earring and bring their friend’s body back. This way Jessica learns a lesson about life that she will never forget to treat other people with respect and feel for them as well.
The cast is pretty vast and with a lot of known people like Rachel McAdams, Anna Farris and guest appearances from Ashley Simpson and Michelle Branch. Good thing they have these celebrities in the movie otherwise I do not think absolutely anyone would have gone to watch this movie. All I want to say is that Tom Brady you could have done a lot better than “The Hot Chick” and Rob Schneider.
