The Goonies Is An American Classic

When you are talking about a movie that almost everyone in America has heard of, then you may be talking about The Goonies. This was a big movie back in 1985, when it first came out, and was directed by Richard Donner. The screenplay for The Goonies was actually based on a story by Steven Spielberg. The Goonies is a great movie that a lot of people remember, and it went on to have a few video games made about it as well (this was during a time when video games that were based on movies were good). Although The Goonies received some mixed reviews when it came out.
The movie known as The Goonies was a great movie, when it first came out in 1985, however, this movie is still capturing the hearts of many people today. When The Goonies first came out, the critics were split over the movie. In fact, they still are today. Some people really like the movie while others do not. However, when it comes to ratings by normal people (not critics), then the movie gets a more positive response. However, the movie does happen to get a few bad reviews from normal people as well, and this is because the movie is more enjoyable for kids and teens, not so much adults. However, lots of adults did not want their children watching it, because of the profanity that the child stars use numerous times in the movie. When you go to put this movie in a class, most people label it a science fiction adventure movie. Of course, it does not matter if you call it a fantasy film or not, The Goonies does not have very many supernatural elements to it. Of course, either way you look at it, this is still a classic movie and should be watch, I think, at least once by everyone. If you are one of those people that wants to have all the classic movies in your DVD collection, then you are going to have to buy The Goonies. No matter how you put it, The Goonies is a great movie that most people love.

The Goonies is about a group of kids that come from a neighborhood in Astoria, Oregon. The kids have nicknamed there neighborhood the Goon Docks, and that is where they get their name The Goonies. The movie starts off with the neighborhood getting ready to be broken down. To help try and stop this, the kids go on an adventure looking for buried treasure that was buried by a pirate named One Eyed Willie. That is pretty much the whole plot of the movie, but either way The Goonies is going to be a movie that keeps you laughing until the very end. In fact, The Goonies started a dance that is very popular now called Truffle Shuffle. This is a dance that one of the heavier set kids does during the movie, and it is a dance that makes just about anyone laugh. The Goonies was such a popular movie with kids when it came out, that a video game giant, Konami, made two different versions of The Goonies. One for the MSX which was called The Goonies, and one for the Famicom which was called Goonies. Later on Konami also came up with Goonies II that came out in both North America and Europe. The first one became so big, that you were able to play it in most arcades across the United States, and in some pizza parlors in the 1980's. When playing these games, the player can control Mikey (a main character), and try to find all of his missing friends.

If you are a fan of comedy movies then you have to get the movie The Goonies. This is a film that is going to have you laughing all the time and is a must have for you DVD collection. This is one of my favorite movies of all time, and I am sure it will be one of your's after you see it. If you have any kids this is going to be a movie that they love to watch, and if you still have an old Nintendo then you should pick up the old game as well. If you were a kid in the 1980's, then I am sure you are already a fan of The Goonies, and you may already own the movie. This is something that you are going to want to share with your kids as well. There has been a lot of movies that have tried to be like The Goonies, but no movie has ever got the same style across as The Goonies did.
