The Funny Movie, School Of Rock

I think one of the funniest people in Hollywood would have to be Jack Black, and the good thing about that is the fact that he has been in a lot of movies. In fact, one of my favorite movies of all time would have to be School of Rock that came out in 2003. This movie was a comedy and was directed by Richard Linklater, which is another reason I think this movie did great. School of Rock was a very funny movie, and if you have not had a chance to see it, you have to give it a try. This is one of the movies that will be in your DVD collection.

I have seen a lot of funny movies in my time, but one of the ones I think is the best would have to be School of Rock. Now this is a great movie for a lot of reasons, but one of the best ones is that it is a comedy film. I am a big fan of comedy films; so this movie is something that I really love, but just being a funny movie is not enough to make a great movie. The good news about School of Rock is that it has a few other things going for it. When making a good movie you need three key things. The first one is a great story that is going to draw people into it. School of Rock has this. You also need a few great actors to move your story along, and this film just happens to have Jack Black. The last thing you need is someone that can pull it all together, which would be a great director, and it has this as well. Richard Linklater does a great job making School of Rock feel real, and that is something that a great movie needs to have. To have a great movie it has to be loved by everyone, and this movie is one that pleases everyone. Not only did the critics love it, but normal people who went to see it loved it as well. That is something that is hard to do. Usually no matter how hard you try you cannot please everyone, but this movie did it. In fact, the first time I went to see it, I had not seen Jack Black in many movies. After watching this film, however, I went back and watched every movie with him in it. That is how good the movie School of Rock is. I hope if you have not seen it you have a good reason for not seeing it. After all, it is hard to pass up a great movie, but you are not going to know it is a great movie until you give it a try. This is a movie that the whole family is going to love; so you should make this movie a family night movie. After all, more time with family is a good thing, I would think.

I love directors that get to know the little people in a film. When I say little people, I mean the people that do not play major roles, however, in the case of School of Rock I am also talking about the kids. In this movie there were about 10,000 kids that came to try out for the part, and the director met with over 500 of these people. Now that is a great amount of kids to meet with. If you think about it is was very nice of him to meet with the kids because he could have had someone else do it for him. Of course, that is one reason why I think that his movies are better than everyone else's movies. I mean, anyone that can take the time out of their day to meet with the stand-ins in a movie has to be great. Of course, these kids did more in the movie than just stand there, but you will have to see the movie to understand what I am talking about. I am a fan of funny movies, and School of Rock does the best job of telling a story and still making it funny at the same time. I think that is a very important thing for a comedy film.

In this day and age a lot of movies are funny, however, they do not have a story that moves them along. They just have a whole bunch of people running around being silly. Now this works for a lot of people, and I do enjoy a slap stick comedy every now and again, but I like a comedy that has a little something more to it. School of Rock is one of those types of movies, and I think that you will get a kick out of it. So the next time you are looking for a comedy film, be sure to check out School of Rock.
