One of the funniest movies to come out back in 1992 would have to be the box office smash hit called Sister Act. This was a comedy film that star Whoopi Goldberg and Maggie Smith. Not only is this a funny movie, but it is one that your whole family can enjoy. I am not a big Whoopi Goldberg fan, but I did love her in the movie Sister Act. This movie also made in on the Bravo's top list of funniest movies of all time. It ranked number 83 out of 100. Just being in the top hundreder movies of all time is a big deal if you ask me. Sis Act was such a big hit when it came out that they came up with a sequel just a year later. This time it was called Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit. It is also said that this movie help start a musical stage version as well. Of course, where this movie really shined was in the box office. In fact, this movie grossed over 139 million dollars. The same year that the movie came out the nuns from the movie Sister Act help Bill Clinton with a fund raiser. Now if actors from a movie can help a fund raiser become a big deal then you know that it had to be a great movie. I really did enjoy this movie because of the fact that I got to watch it with my family. I think that spending time with your family is a big part of life, and it should be looked at like that. The movie is so funny that it is going to have you laughing the whole time you are watching it. The sequel to the movie I did not like as much, but that happens with a lot of great movies. Usually the first one is really good, and the second one leaves something out that the first one had. In fact, usually the second one is just more of the same, and in the movie Sister Act 2 this was indeed the case. There was nothing great about the movie that made it stand out, and because of that, the first one is always going to be the most well known.

If this is a movie that you are still not sure about watching, let me tell you a little more about it. Sister Act is a comedy musical about a fake nun. In fact, a lady that is a lounge singer finds her self on the run from the mob boss because he puts her on his hit list. After being attacked by some of his hit men she hides out with a group of nuns. Of course, this leads to a lot of problems because she is not a nun. As you can see, this is what makes the movie so funny. The whole movie pretty much takes place in San Francisco so it is pretty cool to watch if you have never been there. I love to watch funny movies, and this is one of those ones that you would need to have in your DVD collection. In fact, I loved watching this movie so much that I went out and got it so my family could watch it any time they wanted to. Of course, this is a movie that comes on television all the time. Because of that, some of you may feel like there is no reason to buy it. However, if you want to have a complete DVD collection then you are going to need to buy this movie. After all, you can not have the top 100 comedy movies with out it.

I really did enjoy the Sister Act movie, and if you have never seen it I am sure that you would as well. After all, this movie is your classic American movie, and I guess that is why so many people like it. I love watching this movie, and if you get a change to watch it you should. Also, be sure to invite your family to watch it with you because they are going to enjoy it just as much, if not a little more than you.
