Juarez sits just across the Rio Grande. The combined population of El Paso and Juarez makes that region one of the world’s most densely-populated border areas. There is an Indian reservation that could well provide the setting for some weddings near El Paso. However, someone planning to get married in Bent would probably want to be sure that every guest got a map showing how to drive to Bent. No guest could plan to fly into El Paso and then catch a train or bus to Bent. Any guest that flew into El Paso would need to rent a car and drive to the small community of Bent.
While that fact could make a wedding couple pause before planning a wedding in Bent, the tranquility of such a setting would certainly be a big plus. Bent, New Mexico is the sort of community in which a couple might choose to have cow bells sounding at the conclusion of the wedding ceremony. Moving a bit further from El Paso, an engaged couple might want to plan for a wedding ceremony in Ruidoso. That community has a number of buildings where a wedding professional could easily arrange for a ceremony and reception to take place. It is a lovely setting, although it does not claim to be an ideal location for weddings near El Paso.
