The Choices And Reason For Adoption

There are so many reasons for choosing adoption when adding to your family. Couples that can not conceive a child naturally, may choose adoption as an alternative instead of in vitro fertilization methods because of cost, the let downs or just the pain and time consumption that in vitro fertilization tends to always include. There are also those loving people out there that may want older children instead of the many turbulences of infant adoption or just the reason of their personal belief of not bringing more children into the world because of the ones out there in foster care already needing a loving family to raise and care for them.
When many people think about those who adopt children, the first thought usually is that a couple can’t have children biologically on their own for one reason or another. But in reality, there are many adoptions chosen for various others reasons outside of not being able to conceive. The choices and reason for adoption can be as different as the many choices of children waiting to be adopted! What ever the reason for adoption may be, it is a beautiful choice under most any condition to be one of the best ever made in life.

Out of these many reasons for choosing adoption, one reason for adoption is said to be a real true ‘Genuine’ love for children. There happen to be many people out there in good financial positions who already have kids biologically, but still desire to adopt because of wanting more children in their homes out of pure love. A good reason for adoption in their hearts is caring for those children who were less fortunate. To those types of families, even the biological children most always accept their adopted brothers or sisters as naturally their own and not caring about the genetics.

Another very good reason for adoption is the parents desiring to have a girl when they have only boys or to have only girls and desire a boy. Instead of risking the biological guessing game, a family may decide to adopt their desired sex of the child or children they did not have without risking another child of the same sex they already have. A similar situational reason for adoption is the families that have an only child and there may not be desire for another pregnancy or just the choice of matching an adopted child with their only child.

Genetics of hereditary diseases within the family on either side or both of the adults wanting children is a very valid reason for adoption of a child or children. There are those who want to make sure that they do not pass on hereditary disease or disabilities to a child born to them, so instead adoption seems safer than risking the odds of passing on undesired defects to biological children. The risk of natural pregnancy may just be too great for taking a chance on when it comes to a new life being brought into the world. There are too, those that feel the earth is too populated as it is, but still desire children. Adoption is their way of having children and helping the earth at the same time.

A more commonly known reason for adoption is the single woman or even man on occasion who has put off having children because of career or because of never finding the right person to have children with during their child bearing years. So they will adopt a child or children to fill the burning desires inside of them to become a parent. Slightly relating to this as reason for adoption is the gay or lesbian couples who desire children without major complications of bringing a third person into their relationship as a sperm donor or a carrier of the baby.

So what ever the reason for adoption may be, there is no bad reason for adoption. There are so many reasons and children who just need the love of family. In many people’s hearts, a child being raised in foster care is a sad way for a child to be raised. Many people are selfless enough to be there for those who are less fortunate. Adoption is the best choice for them and the children involved.
