Audrey Tautou is a very well know actress over in America as well as all over the world. This may be because of the people she looks up to as her acting idols. Among them are Meryl Streep, Jodie Foster, and Julianne Moore, all of which are amazing actresses and need to be looked up to. Of course, with the way that Audrey Tautou acts, one day she will be one of the actresses that people look up to. She got her start in movies with Venus Beauty Institute which was given to her by Tonie Marshall. This movie open the door for Audrey Tautou to be in many other great movies. Already we know that in France, she became known all over for her in Le Fabuleux Destin d Amelie Poulain. Because of her success she was invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (also know as the AMPAS), which she did, and is still a member today. All these movies did great getting her movie career going, but it was not until her Hollywood movie with Tom Hanks, that she became well know in the Untied Sates. This movie was called The Da Vinci Code and was the film version of a book by Dan Brown. Even after the success of her American movie, Audrey Tautou still considers France her home. She plans on making the majority of her movies over there.

Although she is a big named actress, she is still down to earth. In fact, she takes pictures of every reporter that interviews her and puts them in a scape book. Audrey Tautou's favorite author is Victor Hugo and her favorite poet is Charles Baudelarie. Also Audrey Tautou is a music lover, and one of her most loved composers is Frederic Chopin, who is one of my favorites as well. Tautou says that many people think that she is of ethnic origins, but she is really 100% French. Her parents brought her up to attend church, but as of now she is not officially a Catholic. I find that funny because she stared in The Da Vinci Code, which kind of upset the Catholic church. Audrey Tautou is so loved that she even has a song coming out in an album called Deja Entendu. The brand new song is called “Tautou,” which was officially named after her. Audrey Tautou is loved all over the world.

It is no surprise to me, that Audrey Tautou is such a beloved actress. If you watch the movies that she has been in, you can see that she brings something special to the big screen. Even though I have only seen her in The Da Vinci Code, if her other movies are even half as good, she will go on to make many more great movies. Being from America, I feel like I speak for everyone when I say that I hope she will come back and make another movie. I know that most of her movies will be done in her home country, but she is loved all over; and I hope she keeps that in mind when thinking of doing another movie. Tautou does stay very busy, and is still making movies today. The last movie she did was very resent and was made in 2007. I hope she will keep making movies for everyone to enjoy. It is going to be very hard for her to get around to all the countries that want her to make movies for them, maybe she is a little too well known.
