William Bradley Pitt was born on December 18, 1963 to mother named Jane and a father named William. He was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma but grew up in Springfield, Missouri. While in Springfield he attended Kickapoo High School where he played sports and was a star on the debate team. From Kickapoo he moved on to the University of Missouri where he studied journalism and advertising. Two credits short of graduation Pitt decided to move to California to give acting a try. He started to use his middle name Brad as his first name and made a living driving strippers around in a limo all day. He also had a job moving heavy furniture and he even got a job wearing a chicken suit while working for the El Pollo Loco restaurant chain. If that isn’t the start to a man who’s life was destined to be the envy of every man on the planet then I don’t know what is. Brad Pitt was not in California long before he started to get some pretty decent acting roles.

He started out doing uncredited television work. Then in 1987 he landed a recurring role on the very popular night time sopa opera Dallas and soon Brad Pitt was on his way. He started getting roles based on his looks but at least he was working and he found himself doing television and movie work. Then in 1991 Brad Pitt landed the role of JD in the hit movie Thelma And Louise and soon he was the talk of Hollywood. His good looks and rough edge made him very popular. In 1992 he landed a starring role in the half cartoon, half real life movie Cool World that showed his ability to work within the context of a movie. Cool World did not get any box office or critical attention but Pitt’s performance did and soon his star was quickly on the rise.

Brad Pitt started to fear that the roles he was playing were starting to limit him to only the beefcake roles that actors play for a few years and then burn out. Desperate to avoid that pattern Pitt took a lead role in the Oscar winning 1992 movie A River Runs Through It. After his performance in that movie Hollywood took notice that this good looking guy can act and soon that rough edge that he had displayed in earlier characters had taken on a mystique all of its own and it is that look that Brad Pitt became famous for.

In 1994 the hits started to roll for Brad Pitt as he co-starred with Tom Cruise in the huge hit Interview With A Vampire and in that same year Pitt also starred in Legends Of The Fall. Now all of Hollywood was a believer in the talent of Brad Pitt and he started to get the kind of roles you could build a legendary career on. In 1995 he was nominated for an Oscar for his work in Twelve Monkeys and that was also the year he appeared in one of the hallmark movies of his career the psycho thriller Se7en.

In 2000 Brad Pitt married television super star Jennifer Aniston and the tabloids were a buzz about what they had dubbed as simply Brad And Jenn. They became one of the most powerful couples in Hollywood and Pitt continued to appear in hit movie after hit movie. In 2001 he appeared in the re-make of Ocean’s Eleven with George Clooney and that was when the world realized Brad Pitt could be in comedies as well. In 2004 he made the mega hit Troy and established himself as one of the top leading men in Hollywood. In 2005 Brad And Jenn was no more as the power couple divorced and Brad Pitt moved on to super star Angelina Jolie. It must be a tough life to be Brad Pitt.
