Catherine Zeta-Jones began her acting career very young. She attended The Arts Educational Schools in Chiswick on a three year course in musical theater. When she got started, she didn't star in any big name movies. She was mainly in television movies and small roles in motion picture films. Of course, it wasn't long before she got a starring role in a big movie. Catherine Zeta-Jones first few big time movies were: The Phantom, The Mask of Zorro, and Entrapment which happen to be one of my favorite movies of all time. It wasn't until her role as Velma in the 2000 remake to the classic Chicago, that she won an award for Best Supporting Actress. She did a great job in the movie, and it was well noted by the award she won. I am sure she will go on to win many more awards over the course of her career. Every movie she is in, seems to shine more even more then the last.

Michael Douglas, who starred in such movies as The Game, Basic Instinct, and Don't Say A Word, ended up marrying the beautiful Catherine Zeta-Jones. The found each other while working on the 2000 hit movie Traffic. The first line Michael Douglas used on her was, “Will you bear my children?” Of course, they ended up getting married and having children. Catherine wanted her children to know about their Welsh heritage so they bought a house in her hometown of Swansea. Other members of her family are in the movie business as well. Catherine's brother is the Vice President of Initial Entertainment. He's also had his hand in making very will known movies. He was the Executive producer of the movie Gangs of New York. These days Catherine Zeta Jones is the spokeswoman of the mobile phone company T-Mobile. I think it's a great idea to have a woman that is well known and has a pretty face to sell your product. This doesn't mean that she has stopped making movies. She has been in a number of new movies and some that are still in the works. Catherine Zeta Jones has worked with many big name actors such as George Clooney, Antonio Banderas, and John Cusack. She works great with just about any actor. When you put her in a movie, you get a bock buster on your hands. Maybe that's because she is so amazing to watch on the big screen, but whatever it is, it sells movies. Really, that's what counts in Hollywood.

If you want to see great acting then go see one of her movies. She really can do just about any movie she puts her mind to. With great movies under her belt as Entrapment and Chicago, you can bet that you will see many more block busters with her name on them. I bet you will also see other companies wanting her to be their spokeswoman. When you put Catherine Zeta Jones face on something it will sell, because she is such a well known actress. Whether she's in plays or on the big screen you can't go wrong watching her. She gives off this great vibe when she performs that keeps your eyes drawn to the screen; it makes it hard to look away. Catherine Zeta Jones is an actress ahead of her time. You should go out and rent her movies and you will see what I mean.
