Submissive Women Still Exist

Women have an important role in society. Today, many women work and raise a family. In fact, it is claimed that seventy percent of the workforce is made up of women. Many women became doctors and lawyers instead of marring doctors and lawyers. However, there are still submissive women all over the world. In other words, there are some women who let men do their talking for them.
Women have come a long way in the world. It may sound and seem funny and odd now but at one time in history, women were not allowed to vote or to have their own checking and savings accounts. In addition, women could not get a loan on their own without her husband’s signature. Today, many women both work and have families. Therefore, women are a vital force in the workplace and on the home front. It doesn’t seem like there would be many submissive women left in the world. However, unfortunately, there are still some submissive women in the world. In fact, it seems like there are some submissive women all over the world. Sometimes, whether women are submissive depends on how women are viewed in particular countries and different cultures. For example, in some Middle East countries Women must be submissive to men because most Middle Eastern cultures see women as inferior to men. And in most Middle Eastern countries women being submissive to men have been part of those set of countries for centuries. However, recently, some Middle Eastern countries have given women a bit more power such as Israel and Iraq.

Submissive women would seem to be women that see themselves as inferior to men. They also seem to have no self esteem either because they were taught as little girls that women’s job are to take care of men. And, in some decades, it was though and taught that women were supposed to grow up and get married to a successful man, preferably a doctor or a lawyer and has many children. Women had to be great homemakers. Therefore, they had to cook, bake, clean, sew; take care of the children, and her husband; while the husband “brought home the bacon.” In the fifties and before most women didn’t go to college to get degrees; they went to college in search of a husband who was going to be a professional. If women did go to college they usually got a degree in home economics or some field that would help them better serve their future mates, children, and households. In short, fifty years ago most women didn’t view higher education as a priority. Submissive women had the priority of taking care of their families. In the fifties and before, I am sure that there were many submissive stories that involve women at the service of men. Totally submissive women seem to be hard to find in the United States and in many European countries. However, there are submissive women all over the world. I know some submissive women but I know more non submissive women.

Sometimes, women become somewhat submissive when they get married. Sometimes men who feel that they have no control over anything in their lives believe that they must control their wives in order to make them submissive to them. In order to make their wives submissive to them, some husbands control the amount of money that their wives get weekly. In addition, they may say who their wives can hang out with and ask tons of questions about their wives activities. Some husbands even resort to physical and emotional abuse in order to make their wives submissive to them. People need to have much self esteem and self awareness in order not to become to submissive to anyone ever. It seems that there are still submissive women today because of the way they were brought up.
