Everyone who might be interested in a very lively night, NYC is the city to go. However, it is important to note that New York City is not only great for its nightlife, but it is great any time of day. In fact, it seems a waste to just come into the city for the evening when Manhattan has so much to offer during the day as well. Some of the best and most famous museums are located in New York City as well as some of the best shopping in the world. In fact, New York City is known as one of the fashion capitals of the world.
Lately, New York City has undergone a major clean up in the last two decades. Back in the 1970s, many people, mainly tourists, were a bit leery of visiting the city for fear of being robbed or attacked. Since those dark days, many changes have occurred including New York City becoming one of the safest major cities within the United States. This makes safe and enjoyable fun possible during the day and night. NYC will always be one of the best places to enjoy a great night out with the girls (or guys) for any occasion. NYC is not only one of the biggest fashion capitals in the world, but one of the top places to see a theatrical show such as a musical or play. New York City is famous for one of its streets – Broadway! Every year thousands of people come to New York City to attend the theatre and hundreds more come to the big city to attain their dreams of becoming the next big stage actor or actress. Some of the most popular shows on New York’s Broadway are “Wicked”, “Chicago”, “Monty Python’s Spamalot”, and “Hairspray”. Many of the plays and musicals are categorized as Broadway, Off-Broadway, and Off-Off Broadway. No matter what most people choose a show worth seeing and experiencing can be found in New York City.
Another way that many people enjoy the nightlife that New York City has to offer, especially during the holiday season between Thanksgiving and Christmas, is to not only enjoy the fabulous restaurants, bars, nightclubs, and shows on Broadway, but to spend the day enjoying a park or museum and then to see the bright lights of the big city. New York City is decorated beautifully throughout its many blocks during the holiday season however; nothing is more famous than the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree and the ice skating rink. Another famous sight that many people come to see, especially at night, are the storefront windows at Macy’s, Saks, and Bloomingdales each year.
No matter what time of year, New York City is a great place to spend an evening, or even several nights! There is a plethora of restaurants, bars, and nightclubs for those people who want to get an evening of partying in. There are also hundreds of musicals, plays, and theatrical performances almost every single night.
