Imagine a bar on a weekend night. Then picture a group of men who have consumed too much liquor. Watch in your mind as these men sidle-up to a young woman and squeeze her breasts. That young lady has just become the victim of one of the many untold seduction stories. 

Or let your imagination take you to a party. View in your mind the action of a man offering a drink to one of the women at that party. She takes a sip, not knowing that that drink contains drugs and alcohol, a recipe for preparing her for date rape.  Now again you have had a first-hand look at what came at the start of many seduction stories.

All seduction stories involve some type of sexual coercion, some effort to initiate a forced sexual activity. About 20% of college women will admit to having undergone such an experience at their last seduction. More than one fifth of college women report that forced intercourse introduced them to the nature of the typical seduction stories. 

Some men like to feel that they have become manlier by forcing a woman to have sex. Some of the seduction lyrics in present-day songs encourage that thinking. Fortunately, most lyrics do not elaborate on the ploys that men can use to force a sexual encounter. Men learn those ploys from other men. Then they use such behavior to create an addition to the growing list of seduction stories. 

Women can avoid being the victim of a seduction by learning to watch for one or more of such ploys. These potential traps include peer pressure, taking advantage of someone's desire for popularity, getting someone intoxicated or the use of insinuating remarks, remarks that allude to the spending of money on a date or a hook-up at a party. If a woman falls for one of those ploys, then she could be the victim mentioned in one of the many seduction stories.

Attention to the behaviors that lead to sexual seduction can prevent a young woman from having bad memories of a violent last seduction. A willingness to pay heed to the danger signs mentioned in this article will release society from having to add to its role of seduction stories. 

While seduction lyrics often describe sexual seduction, music is not a major contributor to the rising number of sexual seductions. The willingness of young women to use drugs and alcohol plays a much larger part in allowing them to fall prey to the sexual desires of a many males. Alcohol and drugs can diminish a young woman's agility to respond quickly to any attempted seduction. A slow response will invariably lead to an unpleasant and violent experience. 

In order to prevent an attempted seduction, a woman needs to resist both verbally and physically. Women who are not afraid to use screaming, hitting, kicking, biting or running are less likely to find themselves familiar with the sad outcome of the many seduction stories.

Perhaps some day there will be a rap song with lyrics that talk about how one brave woman escaped from a potential seducer. That would put a real twist on the current trend in seduction lyrics.
