Security concerns are perhaps one of the most egregious issues prompting those concerned about a person's sexual addiction to intervene and insist the person gets help.
While there aren't necessarily physical manifestations of compulsive or sexual addiction related behavior as it pertains to security concerns, having a predilection towards obsessive sexual behavior does create security concerns for several reasons. These reasons include such potential consequences as poor judgment or lack of discretion on the part of the addict. These actions can also point to serious emotional or mental problems which allows for the potential of exploitation, manipulation and/or extortion.
Whether localized or on a national level, security concerns can play a role in a scenario since someone displaying these symptoms may be viewed as easily swayed to 'the other side'. They may be open to offers made by intelligence or security agents bent on ascertaining sensitive information that could lead to problems for the employing company or perhaps even their native country.
Granted this is a fictional scenario and there's no particular correlation between someone who has a sexual addiction and someone who becomes a spy but the idea to keep in mind is that security concerns can be a real threat and those suffering with any sort of mental issues such as is sometimes the root cause of sexual compulsion can become embroiled in questionable, nefarious dealings.
These same people without the issues surrounding their sexual addiction might never dream of doing such a thing. I am just offering this as a example of possible repercussions resulting from letting addicts, such as those suffering with a sexual compulsion, go on unchecked without trying to reach an equitable resolution before far reaching and possible very negative repercussions must be dealt with.
Those who are sexually intimate sometimes wind up talking a lot about themselves and let their guard down about their likes and dislikes. They may blab about a boss, friend, family member, what things they've done (some of which might be illegal and so on), plans to foil others, make themselves feel better, boast and the list goes on. These may not be things that they want someone else to know about and may cause them problems in there being revealed.
Physical manifestations of being a victim of sexual addiction run the gamut of exhaustion at work thus not performing up to snuff, to the increased incidence of disease noted among those who live the life of someone with a compulsive need for frequent sexual activity. Usually these people aren't in a stable relationship and as such they sleep with many different partners and increase the exposure to the viruses and bacteria that create addressable human health issues.
Stereotypically the physical manifestations of sexual addiction that spring to mind when disease and sex are talked about in tandem are those sexually transmitted illnesses such as gonorrhea and herpes. There is another extraordinarily significant physical manifestation of compulsive sexual activity and that's pregnancy. Many unwanted pregnancies are conceived due to compulsive sexual activities not allowing for the minimal effort it takes to engage a form of birth control before pursuing activities.
There aren't any really positive consequences of compulsive sexual habits leading to sexual addiction and possible security concerns. Happily though there is more and more information coming to light regarding the causes of this condition and with increased knowledge comes the increased chance for full and complete recovery.
