When movies come out they are usually good, but it is hard to find a great movie like Schindler's List. Although it was about the Holocaust, it was a great movie and can help you learn a lot. In fact, the movie is about a German businessman who actually saved the lives of many of the Polish Jews during that time. This movie was made in 1993, but most of it is done in black and white, however, there are a few things in the movie that do have colors to help a certain point stand out. Like Schindler's daughters coat is red during the movie to help her stand out as a main point in the film. This movie has a lot of deeper meanings to it than you would ever think of. However, I would not expect to see anything less from Steven Spielberg. The movie was a bit hit for many reasons, but I would have to say the main reason is the fact that it was based on a great book. To have a hit movie like Schindler's List you have to not only have great actors, but a great story. It seems to me that movies that are based on great books tend to be great films. This is because the book has set up a great story, but you have to find a way to bring that great story to life on the big screen. This is where a great director is need like Steven Spielberg. He was able to bring this movie to the big screen perfectly and made it easy to watch (in a manner of speaking). Of course, the actors have to be great as well because they are the people who move the story along. Without them you could have a great story, and still a crap movie. However, this was not the case for Schindler's List, because the actors in it could of turned a bad story good. Of course, if you have all these things working for you, the movie is going to be a big hit. This movie was indeed a smash hit as you can clearly see by looking at the box office sales of the tickets.

Schindler's List is one of those films that actually did better worldwide than it did in the United States alone. In fact, the move grossed 46 million dollars in America. However, Schindler's List ended up grossing a total of 321 million dollars world wide. That is a lot of money to make off one movie. In fact, in Germany alone it is said that almost 6 million tickets were sold. Times that buy the price of a movie ticket, and you got a lot of money that was made just from Germany. Schindler's List is not a movie that you could watch with your whole family. This is one of those movies that needs to be watched by yourself or with adults only. The ideas that are in the movie are built on a very problematic time in the worlds history, and I think that it would not be right for children to see. Of course, if you have not seen this movie you do not know what you are missing. This is a movie that everyone has to see it, is that good. In fact, this movie is still going to blow you away today if you have never seen it. Compared to the movies that are coming out now-a-days, nothing can touch Schindler's List.

This movie walked away making a lot of money, and at the same time, with a lot of awards. All the reviews I have read about it were great, and also state that the movie is a most see. When there are so many different people that think that it is a must see movie then you have to go see it. I think this could possibly be one of the best movies ever made. When you sit down to watch this movie you are sitting down to watching a classic film.
