Sabian astrology has a unique structure in that it offers guidance from beginning to end in the construction of a horoscope which significantly assists in the final analysis of the chart reading. Of major importance is that planets are more simply categorised and recognised not to carry the same power or indeed impact with the same strength on the individual. This significant factor reduces the conflicts previously found. Using Sabian astrology it is possible to identify the central theme and focus on the major factors rather than distractions which play little significance. It is very important for an astrologer to hone in on the spiritual aspects of an individual seeking a forecast, only by doing so is it possible to reach accurate conclusions and offer sound advice. These features divorce Sabian astrology from any other and make it one for the professional astrologer to learn and develop.
The Sabian Assembly
The Sabian system of astrology has developed a niche for itself among professional astrologers. In October 1923 the Sabian Assembly was formed with annual conferences held each year which generate discussion and foster valuable insights into the progress made with the development of this unique system. The Sabian Assembly is a pool for a school of thought designed to provide a philosophy of concepts. Using calculations with a scientific mechanism that undermines other astrological calculations, the Sabian design can be considered as a true portal to the Solar Mysteries. In addition and found at the Sabian Assembly is the use of Sabian symbols in place of those more commonly recognised thereby allowing Sabian Astrology to present its own identity while separating it further from other astrologies.
The name itself, Sabian, is derived from the Sumerians, which date back more than 5,000 years. Sabians or Sabaeans, were considered by Dr Jones as the fifth sub-race of the Atlantean root race.
The Theory of Dr Marc Jones
Dr Jones felt a strong need to explain why people were the way they were, and why they had a chosen path to follow. Enlightenment was his vision and from that vision evolved Sabian astrology. His early frustrations over the inadequacies of other astrological disciplines pushed him into creating something much more relevant to what all astrologers attempt to achieve, which is an accurate map of an individual's destiny.
Jones also identified the part nature played in overall scheme of things and suggested that some form of interaction was involved between individual charts and the natural environment.
In addition Jones identified that individuals sometimes need to be healed while on their journey through life, not physically but mentally, in order that they be allowed to continue to achieve their aim...or destiny. Astrology was seen as a tool with which people could be helped along their journey, sustaining them through the difficulties and ensuring their path was the right one for them during their lifetime.
