The proposal was amazing - a whirlwind of emotion from joy and happiness to tears and laughter. Now it's time to start planning the big day for your Rhode Island wedding. Fortunately, when it comes to weddings, Rhode Island has something for everyone. From its quiet country charm to its expansive 400 miles of coast line, you're sure to find just the right backdrop for your Rhode Island wedding. Best of all, there are several excellent online resources to help you plan your big day and take some of the stress off what should be one of the happiest times in your life.
The first great resource for planning your Rhode Island wedding is RIwedding.com. At RI wedding com, you can browse through lists of wedding vendors offering everything from bridal wear to invitations to child care for your guests little ones. It also has a link to a wedding budget worksheet and a groom's checklist, to give your special guy a little extra help knowing his role in the planning process.
Another excellent resource for Rhode Island wedding planning is RIweddingguide.com. Here, you can read about other couples wedding plans, check out hundreds of helpful guides and worksheets for planning, and find listing for many local vendors specializing in weddings and wedding planning. The best part of RIweddingguide.com is their Reception Finder tool. The Reception Finder lets you search by what area you're planning your wedding in and provides images and profiles of the reception sites in that area. It includes links to the reception sites and/or contact information. It also includes image galleries for most of the reception sites, so you can check them out without ever leaving home.
If you're interested in consulting a wedding resource that offers both online and print versions, check out RImonthlybride.com. This is the web page for Rhode Island's premier bridal magazine of the same name - Rhode Island's Monthly Bride. This magazine is distributed yearly. You can get a free copy of the print version online or in many locations throughout Rhode Island and the greater New England area. Or you can access much of the content through this online interface. Online, you'll get access to vendor information and wedding planning tips targeted for Rhode Island brides looking for the best of the best.
In addition to the various planning sites available, you can also access the official Rhode Island marriage law guide online at state of Rhode Island?s website. In Rhode Island, anyone looking to get married must have a marriage license. Marriage licenses must be obtained in person, by both the bride and groom. They are valid for up to three months, so you can get your marriage license in advance of the wedding. For those who live in Rhode Island, the license can be obtained at either the bride or the groom's town of residence and it will be valid for marriages taking place anywhere in the state. For out-of-state couples, the license must be obtained in the town the wedding will take place and is only valid in that location.
Planning a wedding is both a stressful and exciting time. Fortunately, there are many online resources available that help you do at least some of the planning right from home, giving you more time to enjoy special time with your future spouse.
