Religious Feminist and Christian Feminists, Is It Possible?

Religious feminist, also know as Christian Feminists, is steadily on the rise. And with that rise there is an uproar. Some people believe that you cannot be both, while others think that you must. What is your opinion? Where do you stand? Do you thin it is possible to both believe in God and believe in a feminist fashion? It's you turn to make a decision, so decide.
Religious feminist or “Christian Feminists” are taking the world by storm. This is a new branch of proclaimed feminism that has just made itself known over the past decade or so. Religious feminist or Christian Feminists is a school within the bigger classification of the feminist traditionalists that seeks to define woman's liberation and her equality with man through reference to the Christian religion. These are women who believe the Bible to be correct, but also believe in equality among the sexes.
People, both Christians and feminists believe that Christian Feminists are an oxymoron. They ask questions like, how can you be a feminist and believe that the man is the head of the household? Or other questions like, how can you be a feminist and dress modestly? Tell me, since when did being a feminist come with a dress code. I know that most feminists do not believe in wearing make-up, but most religions do not either. So what is the problem? Where in the feminist handbook does it say that to be a feminist you cannot be religious? I would like to see a copy of this so called handbook. What does being a feminist even have to do with religion? Today feminism is even considered a religion in some places, in others a conspiracy.
On the other hand, there are people, Christians and feminists alike, who think that religious feminist in NOT and oxymoron. There are people who believe that you can be religious and believe that men and women deserve equal pay, work conditions, rights, and education. That sounds ok right? Well, some people totally disagree! Just because most religious peoples believe that men are the spiritual head does not mean that they also believe that women are beneath them. Christians believe that women are used just as much as men. God didn’t not make Eve out of Adams head to be over him, nor He did not take her from Adam’s foot to be beneath him, but He took her from his side to rule beside him as his HELP mate. As the women from my church say as they are eating together, “If men are the head, then women are the neck because the neck controls the head.” That is so true, no matter how people may try to deny it.
There is plenty of criticism out there about religious feminist, and it is mainly coming form people who are afraid of change or people who were already anti feminism in the first place.
Why is it so hard to believe that religious feminist exist? Can’t they both coincide? Who says you can’t believe in woman’s rights and God at the same time. I believe the people against religious feminist are hypocrites, and aren’t Christian. Christian’s are to love everyone for whom they are, right. Is that not what is taught? So how can you think that Christian Feminists are stupid and still be Christ like, because that is what Christian means? Christ loved everyone. So, you have a moral obligation to love them.
So, I believe that yes, it is possible to be a Christian feminist or religious feminist, because in the words of Eleanor Roosevelt "In my heart, I think a woman has two choices: either she's a feminist or a masochist." It’s your chance to make the choice.
