Once you have experienced pregnancy symptoms and or pregnancy signs and made an appointment with the correct doctor the doctor will do a complete examination to see if you are indeed pregnant. If your gynecologist discovers that you are indeed pregnant he or she will give you an examination to see how far along your pregnancy is. Then, your gynecologist will give you the approximate day that your baby is due. Your gynecologist will then set up your next appointment in order to track your health and your baby’s health for the duration of your pregnancy. Usually after your first pregnancy appointment, a nurse will draw about six tubes of blood in order to see if there are any problems with your blood count or any other problems regarding your blood. In addition, your doctor might give you some prenatal vitamins and give you a nutritional plan to follow all through your pregnancy. Generally, women have monthly doctor’s appointments when they are pregnant and as the baby’s due date gets closer, women’s doctor visits are usually weekly. If the baby isn’t born yet and the due date has past sometimes gynecologists will induce labor.
Some pregnancy symptoms could include vomiting and nausea, strange food cravings, morning sickness, and missing one or two periods. Another pregnancy sign could be a bit of a weight gain. However, a woman might be pregnant without any of these pregnancy symptoms. Most women when they think that they are pregnant take at least one or two home pregnancy tests. Two pink lines usually means that you are pregnant and one pink line means that you are not pregnant. In addition, all of the above signs could be just a real bad cold or the flu and not pregnancy symptoms or signs. Doctors claim that sometimes when women first have sex it could mess up their menstrual cycle and then women might believe that she is pregnant when in fact she isn’t pregnant. In addition, a hormonal change can create a false pregnancy. Always go see your doctor whenever you think that you are having pregnancy symptoms or pregnancy signs. If you are pregnant, please make sure to get the proper medical care so that you and your baby remain healthy through out the pregnancy.
