It's such a basic game that it provides fun for both kids and adults!
Wondering what you can do at your next party to keep your guests interested? Nothing breaks the ice and provides a little excitement better than a fun and rousing party game. No one wants to be the one to host a party where everyone is bored and has absolutely nothing to do. It was just for this purpose that party games were invented.

Play What if?, for example, if you think that your guests might be getting a little bit bored. This is a game that can be played with as few as two people but can also be played with more. The game is really quite simple, all you have to do to play what if is to ask your friends a what if question.

For example, to play “What if?” you could ask one of your guests, “What would you do if you were king or queen of the country?” This is a fun game that allows your guests to think for a little bit about themselves, as well as a great way for the other people at your party to learn about one another.

Of course this is not the only question that one can ask to play What if? Another question that you might want to ask is, “You could be the best on your block at something what would it be and why?” You can also ask “If Wolverine and Superman were to get into a fight, who would win and why?” And there is of course the classic question, “What would you do if you had a million dollars?”

One of the benefits you will find to play “What if?” is that it requires absolutely no materials, not even a few pieces of scratch paper. All you are doing is asking fun and interesting questions and learning about your friends and guests as they answer these “What if?” questions.

Because of its sheer simplicity and universal appeal it is a game that can be enjoyed by both kids, teenagers and adults alike. You don’t even need to do any preparation, just pop out a what if question and guess what! That’s all it takes to play What if?

Don’t think that this little game can only be played at parties. It can be played just about anywhere and at any time. Many families, for example, like to play What if in the car on long trips. It is fun and exciting for the kids and let’s them think about things for a little bit rather than just sitting there until they happen to blurt out “Are we there yet?” or “I have to go to the bathroom!” (Sometimes it seems like kids say nothing else while they are in the car!)

If you want to get your kids started in a rousing game of “What if?”, you can ask them the questions yourself and let each child answer (or if you only have one child, let them answer). Or you can invite your children to ask questions amongst themselves. You will be amazed at just how creative children can be when they are given the opportunity and you might be surprised at some of the things they ask! Not only is it a fun way to pass the time but you can also use it as a chance to learn more about your kids.

For teachers, the “What if?” game can also be an excellent way to get your kids interacting in class. The beginning of a school year is always tough and playing such a fun game can be a great way for the children in your class to learn a little bit more about each other. Introduce new students and reacquaint old friends with this simple but always fun game.
