Eating food and playing sports are a part of people's lives. We usually eat different foods everyday such as hamburgers, corn, rice, peanut butter, steak, and apple pie. Some people even like to eat squash cooked with brown sugar. Squash can be both eaten and played; although probably more people eat squash than play squash.
Squash is an indoor racquet sport that was formally called squash racquets, which was a reference to the squishable and soft ball used in the game of squash. The game is played by two payers or it can be played by four players if people are playing doubles. Squash is played with standard squash racquets in a four walled court with a small and hollow ball. Squash is characterized as a high impact exercise that can strain people’s joints, particularly their knees. It is claimed that people like to play squash on the weekends. The players in a squash game usually spin a racquet to decide who serves to begin the match. This player starts the first rally by electing to serve either from the right or the left service box. In order for the serve to count as a legal serve one of the server’s feet must be in the box. In addition, after being struck by the racquet, the ball must strike the front wall above the service line and below the out line and land in the opposite quarter court unless the ball is volleyed by the receiver. In the traditional British scoring system a point is scored only by the server when the receiver can’t return the ball to the front wall before it has bounced twice. When the receiver wins the rally he or she is awarded the right to serve. Squash matches are played to nine points. Some people like to play squash competitive matches and they are played until somebody wins three games. People can both eat and play squash; however it is doubtful that people both play squash and eat squash at the same time.
