When you play Mafia it is usually played in a group of five or more. The more people playing the longer the game will last. Having less than five people during the game is no fun and not worth playing. During a basic game, players are divided into two teams. When you play Mafia, they are divided into Mafia members and honest people (when you are playing Werewolves they are divided into Werewolves and Villagers). To goal for both teams is to eliminate each other, and this is done differently for each team. Usually the winner of the game is the last side standing. When you play Mafia you are in for a good time, and there are a few different ways to play the game. I am going to give you the basic rules that most people use when they play Mafia.

When you play Mafia there are usually three different roles. The team that is the Mafia, the team that is the honest people and the person that is the narrator. You can assigned roles by dealing out cards with a red dot on them to sign who will be the Mafia. Now when playing this game, there are two different turns. The day turn and the night turn. At night everyone lays their heads down and covers their eyes so they cannot see anything. Then the Mafia members uncover their eyes and choose someone to kill (one of the honest people). After that the Mafia members go back to covering their eyes so it looks like they are honest people to. Then it is day time and the narrator tells a story about whoever was killed. Then the honest people vote on who they think is a Mafia member and then they kill that person. They are not told if it is a Mafia member or not. After that it becomes night again and the Mafia team kills someone else. This keeps going until one team has killed off all of the other team. As you can tell, it gets easier for the honest people to start killing of the Mafia members as the number of honest people start to go down. If the honest people choose to kill one of their own (without knowing it) then they still lose the honest person. Anyone who is killed in the game does not have to close their eyes at night, however, they cannot help out in any way. When you play Mafia you are in for a great time.

This is one of those games that you are going to play over and over with your friends. This is also a good game to play in school, however, you should use a different word than kill. When you are looking for a way to get everyone having a good time, you should bring up and play Mafia. No matter what you choose to call it, this is going to be a great game to play. The best thing about this game is it is free to play. You do not have to go out to the store and buy a game board or anything like that. The game is a lot funner if you have a narrator that is very creative and funny with the stories they make up. If the Mafia team chooses to do so, they may kill the narrator. However, doing so does not effect the game, he will keep telling everyone who dies during the night. If it was him who died he will have to tell you a story on how he was killed. As you can see this game would be very fun to play with a big group of people.
