Pierre De Coubertin is the founder of the Olympic committee. Without him I think it is safe to say that there may have never been an Olympic sporting event. This is a man that did more living than most people ever do in their whole lives. This man had a long and great life, and because of him we are able to enjoy something that has been going on for a long time. I love watching the Olympic games whenever they are on. Pierre De Coubertin was born in 1863, and little did he know that he was going to be the founder of one of the greatest things in the world. Of course, he had the chance to see a lot of the games, however, I think that he would be happy to know that it is something that is still going on today. He died back in 1937, but over the course of his life he achieved a lot. I think it is sad that we all have to live such sort lives, but it is great to see someone that can get something done in the short amount of time we are on this world. If only he was still around today. We may never know what he could have done with all the time, but it is great to know that he is a person that got a lot done for us. Many people have done a lot of great things with their lives, but he is known now for starting something that is bigger than he ever dreamed it could be. It is something cool to think about, but do you think that he knew that it was going to be still going on? I mean, how could he of known that well on past the year 2000 that the Olympic games was still going to be happening. Pierre De Coubertin is a hero in many people's eyes, and I think that this is something that he would have liked to know. A lot of people like to be known for a lot of things over the course of their lives. Of course there is not going to be a lot of people that are going to be known for something more than what Pierre De Coubertin started. I mean, the Olympic games is a big deal.

Pierre De Coubertin is a person that is going to be in the history books for the rest of his life. I mean, sure we are going to know other people for other reasons, but as far as sporting events go I think that Pierre De Coubertin should always be number one in that book. He is a man that did a lot more than most people ever do. In fact, he did more in his life than a whole group of people usually do in their lives. I wish that more people in the world could do great things like what Pierre De Coubertin did, but you have to be able to do things that are not just for you. Most people that live now-a-days do things just to make their life better, but this is a man that did something that helped bring nations together. That is something that is hard to do because people are always trying to do things for themselves. However, if you can do something that is not just for yourself, and do things that are for people around the world then you are a great person. I mean, I do not think that enough people care about what is happening in the world to try and do something about it, and to be that way is something that is very sad.

Pierre De Coubertin is a great man, and is always going to be looked up to when you talk about the Olympic games. After all, so many people try and get something big started, however, this is someone that was able to get something going, and is now always going to be remembered. So the next time you are watching the Olympic games be sure to think of Pierre De Coubertin
