One of the greatest men that ever lived would have to be Pierre De Coubertin because he is the man that started one of the greatest sporting events in the world. The Olympic games is something that is known all over the world, and if it was not for Pierre De Coubertin this may not be the case. He was the founder of the International Olympic committee. This is a man that help start the biggest sporting event in the world, and that is something that he should be happy of. However, he die a long time ago, but his sporting event still lives on.
Pierre De Coubertin is a person that is going to be in the history books for the rest of his life. I mean, sure we are going to know other people for other reasons, but as far as sporting events go I think that Pierre De Coubertin should always be number one in that book. He is a man that did a lot more than most people ever do. In fact, he did more in his life than a whole group of people usually do in their lives. I wish that more people in the world could do great things like what Pierre De Coubertin did, but you have to be able to do things that are not just for you. Most people that live now-a-days do things just to make their life better, but this is a man that did something that helped bring nations together. That is something that is hard to do because people are always trying to do things for themselves. However, if you can do something that is not just for yourself, and do things that are for people around the world then you are a great person. I mean, I do not think that enough people care about what is happening in the world to try and do something about it, and to be that way is something that is very sad.
Pierre De Coubertin is a great man, and is always going to be looked up to when you talk about the Olympic games. After all, so many people try and get something big started, however, this is someone that was able to get something going, and is now always going to be remembered. So the next time you are watching the Olympic games be sure to think of Pierre De Coubertin
