See no matter what you are into, there is a message board out there for you. They have message boards that talk about every type of topic from video games to online dating. When you are at message board, there are just a few rules that you have to follow. First, you can not post unless you join. This is a way for the owners at message board to keep track of who is posting. This way they can stop and ban people who are spaming the board. Speaking of spaming, that brings us to the second rule, do not talk off topic. There are many message boards out there, so if you want to talk about something, find a message board that is talking about it. Do not be at message board and start talking about stuff that is not on topic. If you are going to post there, make sure it is something these people are going to want to here about. For example, do not go to an online matchmaking message board and start talking about cars. No one there cares about cars, they want to talk about matchmaking stuff. Also, try and make friends when your at message board. Do not go into these sites and start flame wars with people (a flame war is typing mean things to a person you do not like). If you do not like these types of people then do not join that message board, it is that simple. Like mom always said, “If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all.” Not following these rules will get you banned from the site.

To join at message board, you will have to give them your email. This is because they have to know who is trying to post on their site. They have to make sure you are a real person. There use to be a lot of anonymous forums, but because people were abusing this, you cannot find that many anymore. This helps the mods (which stands for the administrators) to kick people off the message board that do not know what they are talking about. Like I always say, “Its better to keep your mouth shut and look stupid, than to open it and remove all doubt.” Pretty much what that means is, if you do not know anything about a topic that is being talked about, then do not try and act like you do. Because someone will be able to call you on it and then you will look like a fool.

When your at message board, be nice. There is no reason to get on these forums and act mean. It takes a lot of work to keep a message board up and running, so give the administrators a break and stay away if you are just trying to cause problems. Most administrators do not get paid for keeping message boards spam free (unless its for a big company), so it is just how they spend their free time. So give them a little respect, and you will get it back. No matter what you are looking for, you will be able to find it online. Joining these virtual communities is great and something that you should look into. Just make sure that when joining these message boards, that you are joining one that you care about and can add some helpful advise to. If you follow some of the rules listed above, you will have a great time online at these message boards. Be sure to read all the rules before joining the board. This way you will know what not to do, so you will not get banned. Good luck, and I think that you are really going to love online internet forums.
