People Use Forum For Dating

Unless you have been living under a rock for the past few years, you know that the internet is a big thing. Because the internet allows many people to be connected at the same time, it is no surprise that people are starting to use it for dating. We have all heard of at least a few online dating sites, and most of these sites use the normal methods to allow us to contact each other. Such methods would be your standard email and IM, but now many of these sites are starting to add a new way to contact each other for online dating. People are now starting to use forum for online dating.

Many of us have use forum before when online, but not many of us have used it for online dating. An internet forum is a web application that allows users of the forum to hold discussions with each other by way of posting content. The reason I said posting content and not just posting text, is because most of these forums allow users to post everything from video clips to attachments. People use forum much like people used the old bulletin board systems of the 1980's and 1990's. These forums can have many topics (everything from video games to fashion, and technology to cars) that can be based on anything around the world. Of course, it has only been resent that we have seen forums opening up for online dating. I can see how this would work, because when people use forum, they are able to private message each other so no one else can see what you are talking about. It is a way to be alone on these social forums.

When you use forum, you have to be sure that you follow the rules that they give you. If you choose not to follow these rules, most of the time it will lead you to get banned. To use forum, most of the time you have to join. This is an easy step that does not take much time. Usually they ask for your email address, and then send you a link (through email) that you have to click on. This is done to make sure your email address is real, and that you are not trying to cheat the system. Most of the time, you are allowed to view a forum that you are not a member of, however, you are not able to join in any of the topics. Online forums are one of the best ways for big groups of people to talk amongst each other about different topics. That being said, online dating forums are not very popular yet. It is hard to ask a girl out with millions of people reading your every word. Some time in the near future we may see a rise in the number of online dating forums, but for now most people are sticking with IM and email.

It is going to be hard for people that use forum for dating online to get their foot in the door. This is because two other ways to online dating have a death hold on the whole market. That would be IM and email. Of course, more and more people everyday stop using email for online dating and start using IM. We could also be seeing the end of email dating as well. This is because IM online dating is much faster and easier than either of the other two ways. When you IM date someone, you are able to hold real time conversations with them. It is the next best thing to actually being in the room with that person. Until something better comes along, IM will remain king of the online dating world. Some people will keep using forums for online dating, but I do not think you will ever see that catch on quite like IM. However, time will only tell. I use forum everyday when I am online because it is a great way to meet people. That being said, I have never chose to do online dating by way of the forum. I think this is because we are all looking for more speed now-a-days. Forums are fun, but it could take a few days before you hear back from someone. With IM it is happening all in real time. Of course, the final choice is your's, so choose which one you feel better with.
