We all are familiar with the legendary story of Troy where the Greeks gifted the people of troy with a Trojan horse as a sign of peace but they did not know that the huge wooden piece of horse given to them was actually a plot to transfer Greek’s best soldier into the city of Troy to defeat them. The name trojan horse given to a malicious software on the internet says for itself. Trojan horse, a malware that seems to the user as a useful data but really its useless. An internet user can get trojan while just being connected to the internet which is quite unsafe.

It is no secret to users of the internet that there are people out there that create malicious software. Any program that is developed to cause harm to a computer or network of computers is known as malicious software. One form of this type of software, would be known as a Trojan Horse. In my opinion, a Trojan Horse is one of the worst types of malicious software that you can get to date. This is because, most of the time when you get infected by one of these programs, you will not even realize that it has happened.

There are many different kinds of malicious software circulating on the internet, and a user who doesn't protect themselves will find that it is only a matter of time until he or she becomes infected by a computer virus. One of the most clever and sinister types of viruses out there is the Trojan virus, which poses as a legitimate piece of software in order to infect the PC.

When talking about computer software, the term Trojan horse is used to denote a malicious application, which is masked under a legitimate software program. This term was derived from the well-known myth of the Trojan horse. In the process of the Troy siege, the Greeks gave a large horse made of wood to the Trojans who thought it was a gift and moved the horse inside their city. Well, the horse appeared to be full of Greek soldiers, who left the horse at night to open the city gates to the Greek army.
