This is a movie that has a great story as well as a great cast of great actors in it. The Mummy is a 1999 American film that was directed by a Mr. Stephen Sommers. This is a loose remake to the old movie called The Mummy that was made in 1932 (this one starred Boris Karloff). However, something the old movie did not have, that the new movie has, is a great cast of actors. The Mummy stars Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz. It also has Arnold Vosloo as the role of the mummy. The Mummy was a great movie that featured some dialog that was spoke in Egyptian language. This gave the movie a really great feel and made it feel like you were really there. This language was spoken with the assistance of a professional Egyptologist, so that they could make sure that they were speaking it correctly. The Mummy did really well in the movie theater and, of course, that means that they had to make a sequel. Sure enough they did and it was called The Mummy Returns. Of course, The Mummy is such a big hit is was also turned into an animated series. Also, in 2002 they may a movie called The Scorpion King that was based on things that happen before The Mummy movies. They are going to keep making money off this movie. In fact, in 2008 another Mummy movie is coming called The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. Also, at Universal Studios, The Mummy was such a hit that they made a roller coaster after it called Revenge of the Mummy in 2004. Someone even came up with a novel of the movies, his name is Max Allan Collins.

The Mummy is a great movie to have. So many things got started because of it. When so many movies are being made just because of one film, you know that it had to be a good one. Of course, these are movies that everyone wants to see. It is not like they are making movies that no one cares about. They are making movies that people will spend their hard earn money on, and that is something that is hard to do. People do not like to spend their money on movies that are crap, so if the first Mummy would have done bad, you would have never seen the second one get made. This is because no one would have ever went back to see it because they remember how bad the first one was. The Mummy did not have this problem. In fact, it has a huge fan base, and that is why they keep pumping out Mummy movies. The new Mummy movie that is coming out in 2008, is going to be another good one that sells a lot of tickets. You are going to see a lot of sold out shows when this movie comes out later in 2008.

If you are a fan of great action movies or mummy movies, then you need to buy The Mummy. That is right, I said buy, because it is a great movie that you are going to want to watch more than once. If you ever get the chance to buy all of them at once, I would wait to do it. This is because a new one comes out soon, and if you wait, you can buy them all together in a box set. This will leave you with a great piece of movie history that you are going to remember for a long time. However, unlike most history, you are going to be able to watch this one over and over again.
