Even way back in elementary school, I could see the characteristics in this person that defined a Pisces personality. She was moody, as those Neptune-ruled people so often can be. That meant she could sulk for a long time longer than I could, so that in turn meant that I was always the one to apologize first. The Pisces horoscope always tells us how sympathetic the Pisces individual is, however. That was indeed true as well. After I made the initiative and did the apologizing, she would ultimately start the conversation where she verbally sympathized with my side of the story.
Another Pisces characteristic that was visible early on in my childhood friend was her intuitive nature. Whereas a Pisces horoscope will often mention this intuitive ability, as children we knew about this without being told. My friend was inevitably the first kid on the block to know when someone was in need of some extra attention. I remember her being a very caring person who would often tell me that she had “someone to see”. That meant she had to put me off at the moment in order to give a little time to someone who needed it. I didn’t really understand what was happening until years later when we were both grown up. Then, of course, she could put it into more comprehensible terms for me. She would say “I have someone who needs some attention”. I bet if I had checked her Pisces horoscope on those days it would have said something like “use those fantastic intuitive powers of yours to seek out someone who could really use a kind ear”. What a fantastic quality to have in a best friend. Even though I may not always be the one who needs that sensitivity and compassion, I have been the recipient of it on many an occasion.
Her Pisces horoscope probably also mentions her fantastic imagination just as often. I recall very clearly an instance in third grade art class when she insisted that the flowers should be brown. The teacher was not very pleased with her choice, however and the sensitive imagination of my Pisces friend was injured and one of those famous moody episodes ensued.
Pisces compatibility reports are a great resource in explaining my lifelong relationship with this friend. Pisces is a water sign. I am an Aries, which is a fire sign. It may seem that fire and water just don’t mix but surely a relationship that has lasted for over thirty years must have some kind of compatibility. Very likely, that daily Pisces horoscope has often told my good friend to use her thoughtful, sensitive personality to soothe her overly fiery Aries friend’s upsets. Thank goodness for that.
As an often misunderstood Aries girl, I am always going to need my Pisces friend nearby.
