Located in the province of Quebec, Montreal is one of the world's great summer cities. Granted, for 6 months of the year the city is extremely cold and snowy, but this only adds to the excitement when the summer finally arrives. Citizens of Montreal come out on droves to enjoy the sun in the city's many parks, and downtown areas abound with restaurant patios and the like. It is for these reasons that Montreal has developed a reputation of a very romantic city, and in the summer it is hard to disagree with this.
On any given summer day there will be thousands on Montreal girls out and about, and compared to other cities in Canada there is a much more laid back attitude - strangers are far more likely to approach and talk to each in this city. A large part of these is because of the French speaking culture in Montreal, which makes it very distinct from other cities in North America and provides a very European sensibility.
