The basketball player is already a veteran in NBA and his addition to the team can be very positive especially if we check back on his profile to find that he had averaged 12 point, two point's and eight point four rebounds during his career. However, Dallas Coach Avery Johnson is willing to have Kevin in a good shape just to play in an emergency and is not counting on him as a principal player.
The weakness of Willis resides on the fact that he has been inactive for the last year and a half what obviously affected his performance, of course it would take him some time to get in basketball shape, but nothing that can not be solve with few practices and some physical preparation.
It is a little early to predict Kevin's future with the Mavericks, but there are a lot of possibilities for him to get sign by the team from the point of view that Johnson and Willis know each other from long ago and Willis probably knows what the coach expects of him.
If the veteran makes it with Dallas for the season he will become the oldest active player in the league, enough reason to be proud of him self and to be motivated. Hopefully, we will have the chance to see Willis playing the postseason and who knows, maybe giving us some exhibitions at the center as he used to do with the Hawks.
