Married Flirting. Marriage Doesn't Stop Flirting, Married People Flirt Too

Married flirting is a very common thing. To some people flirting just comes naturally. What is flirting really? Is it merely giving a complement to another person of the opposite sex or actually making sexual advances towards another? I don't think flirting has to have any sexual significance at all. It's a way of showing interest in another person. Flirting in many cases is completely harmless.
Just because you’re married flirting doesn’t just stop. Flirting body language comes very natural to many people. Simply exchanging smiles with someone of the opposite sex is a good example. You see it all the time. A married man may still feel the need to tell a woman that she looks great today. This is an example of married flirting. For the happily married individual flirting with another married person is merely a display of playfulness and nothing more. If you are a happily married person then you have the trust in your partner required to understand this playfulness and enjoy the humor in it.

Married people enjoy flirting as much as single people. Flirting reminds you of the good things about yourself. It can increase your self-esteem or just boost your confidence. When flirting comes in the form of complements and smiles, it can simply one’s day seem better. Sometimes just knowing that someone is giving you a second look is complement enough, but it’s still flirting. Married or single, anyone could use a little reassurance. Many married men I know will go out of their way to flirt with someone just because they look like they’ve been having a bad day. Others simply feel its only right to let a person know when they look good.

However, there other types of married flirting. There is also deceitful married flirting. The first thing I look for when I see a good-looking man is a wedding band. Of course in the movies they don’t wear a ring, the telltale sign is a tan line from where the ring should be. Unfortunately, many men never wear their wedding ring anyway. If he’s flirting with you, you have the right to ask if he’s married. Of course it’s always wise to ask if they have a girlfriend and children as well. Married flirting in an attempt to deceive someone is not playful or humorous. It’s important to know the difference. If married flirting results in actual physical contact, other than kissing a woman’s hand, it is most likely not playful.

Of course, the best kind of married flirting is the flirting that takes place between people who are married to each other. At times it can seem like a rare sight. After a couple has been married for a while it seems the flirting stops. Quite often married couples forget to give that extra complement. It’s important not to take it for granted that your partner knows you still think they are special. Married flirting includes things like reminding each other how much they care. My father and stepmother have been married for twelve years but they still flirt with each other. On a daily basis they make sure to stop and give each other a kiss for no real reason except they love each other. My father tells his wife everyday how good she looks and notices every bit of weight she looses, and every shade darker her skin gets from working outside.

Married flirting can mean so many things. Its important to have healthy flirting with married people whether you are one or are with one. Trust your instincts. Remember if flirting leads to inappropriate touching from a married individual it is not healthy flirting. A pat on the back or shaking of hands is not inappropriate, but if the touch lingers watch your step. If you are married remember to flirt with your spouse. You could just make their day.
