Many Things To Do In Ogden, UtahUtah has a wide variety of places to visit. If you have never come to this fair state before, you might want to consider a few things. Salt Lake City is one of our biggest tourist spots. Cedar City and Saint George are up there, too. However there is a little known area you might want to consider when making your travel plans. Visit Ogden, Utah!!
There are plenty of things to do in Ogden, Utah. If you like wildlife and the outdoors, this may be one of the most perfect spots for you to visit. Ogden, Utah has two rivers that run right through the city and a variety of lakes, opening up activities for those who like to boat and fish. You can catch a wide variety of fish from trout to catfish. However, we are famous for our bass fishing.
If you decide to visit Odgen, UT , there is an abundance of wildlife that you can see year round. Your only thirty minutes away from deer, elk, moose and ducks or geese. They're easy to spot and it's a great way to picnic with your family. There are also an abundance of camp sites you can stay at in Ogden, Utah or right outside the city.
Camping, fishing or hunting not your cup pf tea? How about skiing. We state it on our license plate "The Best Snow on Earth," and we believe it to be true. Apparently, the Olympic committee thought so, too. This is where the 2002 Winter Olympic games were held. This provides for world class ski resorts fresh with powder for the one who likes to sail gracefully down the mountain.
Don't like to ski? Try water sports or there is an abundance of rock climbing (seasonal), biking trails, horseback riding opportunities and much, much more. In Ogden, Utah, it is a nice retreat away from the city. It has it's little country charms that make you feel like you're in a small town. However, the comforts of the city are close enough for you to enjoy. Some of these comforts include the university housed within it's limits.
Weber State University is one of it's most cultural driven arenas. So, this may seem a bit of a college town but don't let that fool you. They have carnivals and festival year round. The city also has ballet, theater and museums that will open your mind and feed your creative soul. If you love all that cultural stuff, check out the opera. It's amazing!!!
However, in a "college town" comes a very high night life. So don't fret if you're the partying kind. There are plenty of after hours hot spots in Ogden, Utah to give you the type of night life you enjoy. The clubs and bars are fun and inviting. However, don't forget that Utah is a "dry" state, which means last call is actually at one o'clock, but don't fret, there is a lot of fun to be had before one in the morning.
As you can see, even though Utah seems to be a very quiet place, there are tons of things to do in Ogden, Utah.
