Many People Date On IM Everyday

Online dating is becoming a big thing now-a-days. With the internet getting better everyday, people are always on the look out for the next big thing, and matchmaking sites are no different. You can call off the search for the next improvement in online dating because it is here and people use it everyday. This big jump came from people who date on IM, this is great because it is a lot faster then email. We are always wanting more speed, and IM is bring it to matchmaking sites on the fly.

Online dating is becoming a big thing now-a-days. Maybe you have used online dating sites before, but never like this. People who date on IM now, are seeing how fast the internet really can be. This could not of come at a better time for online dating sites. Until now, most people who used these types of sites were limited to the use of email. Now do not get me wrong, email is great, but it is not as fast as IM. When you are talking to people with IM, it is almost like they are in the same room with you. There is no delay, it is automatic. This allows for a much more fluid conversation when people date on IM. One of the first companies that came up with this idea (or at least one of the first ones to use it) was PalTalk. However, they would soon be copied by a lot of the big name online dating sites like Match.com. This was not the only company that would follow suit, Yahoo personals was soon to follow. Yahoo personals may not come up with a lot of new ideas on their own, but when thy choose to use someone else's idea, they do it as good if not better than that site. Which makes them a great site for people to date on IM.

One thing that is for sure, people that choose to date on IM have better communication with possible partners. In a study done by Yahoo, they found out that people that used Yahoo personals for dating were more likely to use the IM feature than any other feature they offered. People were almost doubling the amount of IM they used compared to how many emails they sent. On top of that, they were tripling the amount of IM they used compared to how many phone chat conversation they did. You would think that people would rather choose phone conversation then to date on IM, but this is not the case. In fact, most people prefer to date on IM because they feel safer. Most people do not like to give out their phone numbers online, and I understand why. You see if you are talking to someone (thinking about dating them), then you change your mind, you want nothing to do with that person anymore. If they have your phone number they can keep calling you, trying to make you talk to them. That does not work on IM, because once you do not want to talk to someone anymore you can choose to block that user. Thus, you get rid of the person you do not want to talk to. That could be a very nice feature to use when dating online. Maybe people who date on IM have good reasons to do so.

If you have not been dating online in a long time, it could be time to give it a try aging. Many things have changed since the last time you gave it a try. Also, online dating is slowly becoming more popular, which means less people are looking down on it. People have seen lots of other people find their true loves online and it is causing us to re-think the way we look at online dating. Soon online dating will not be much different than real dating. With people using IM for dating now, they are all ready able to talk to their partners in real time. More and more people are starting to date on IM, maybe it is time for you to jump back into the game. I do not think you will be sorry you did.
