Officially speaking, nudism is not allowed in Crete and Greece. Although every secluded beach, especially, when visiting the southern coast, are filled with those enjoying nudism. Sometimes a "no nudism" sign is placed on these beaches but they are not very productive at keeping those who enjoy the "free life", these are those who enjoy swimming and sunbathing new with out the restrictions of clothing. Baring all has always prompted critical and a sometimes venomous reaction from individuals who totally disagree with the concept of walking around in the nude.
