The first important thing to remember about a date is to take a shower or at least freshen up before you go out. No one wants to be around some person they just met who has bad body odor, whether that be odor due to no deodorant or no showering. Bad breath is also apt to ruin your date, as no one wants to have an intimate conversation or even think about kissing someone whose breath is horrendous. Remember also to not pick your nose. Another important thing to remember on a first date is to not reveal a lot of negative things about yourself. If you spend all the time talking about yourself, you are going to come across as completely self-absorbed. In most cases if your discussing your most recent past relationship there are still many feelings attached to it, some of which can be anger and make you come off to this new date as being bitter. Just take your time, relax, talk to the person, listen, enjoy yourself, and don't commit any of the fatal errors mentioned above.
