Jack Nicholson Is One Of The Greatest Actors Ever

Everyone has a favorite actor, and mine happens to be one of the greatest actors in Hollywood known as Jack Nicholson. This is not only a man that is a legend on the big screen, but off screen as well. He is an Academy Award Winning American actor, who is known all over the world for the renowned roles he plays as dark themed characters. Jack Nicholson was born on April 22, 1937, and his full name is John Joseph Nicholson. I feel like he is one of the best actors of all time, and he will go down in history as one of the greatest people who ever lived.
Jack Nicholson is a man that is known for the great roles that he plays in movies. In fact, over the course of his career he has been nominated for 12 Academy Awards. Of those, he was one three of them, and two have been for Best Actor (that should tell you something right there). Jack Nicholson is tied with Walter Brennan for most acting wins by a male actor. Also, Jack Nicholson is second to only Katharine Hepburn for most acting wins overall. Now that just proves that he is one of the greatest actors who ever lived. Of course, he has won a lot more awards as well. In fact, Jack Nicholson has won seven Golden Globe Awards and a Kennedy Center Honor. Jack Nicholson is the youngest actor ever to be awarded the American Film Institutes's Life Achievement award. Over the course of his career he has been in some of the greatest movies of all time. However, when he got his start in Hollywood, Jack Nicholson was working as a go-fer for the animation company Hanna-Barbera. However, that would not last long, because he would soon be noticed for his action skills and go on to make tons of movies.

One of the first big movies that Jack Nicholson had a part in was the 1960 hit film The Little Shop of Horrors. This was a great film, but is not one of the movies that he is best known for. Jack Nicholson has been in so many movies that I cannot name them all, so I am just going to name some of the most notable ones. Some of the earlier films that he acted in were Chinatown and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. In the movie One Flew Over the Cuckoo's, Nest Jack Nicholson plays a man that pleads insane to get out of going to jail. After which he ends up in an insane asylum. Jack Nicholson also played the leading role in the movie The Shining that was directed by Stanley Kubrick, and this is one of my favorite movies of all time. Another very well known role that Jack Nicholson played, would have to be his role as The Joker in Batman directed by Tim Burton. Lately, he has also been in a lot of other movies, including As Good as It Gets and The Departed.

Jack Nicholson is not only a hero to men on the big screen, but he is also a hero off screen as well. Jack Nicholson is very well known for his inability to settle down with just one women. In fact, Jack Nicholson has five children with four different women, and he has only been married once. Maxim also placed him in the Top 10 for Living Legends of Sex. It is said that Jack Nicholson has allegedly slept with over 2,000 women over the course of his life. Now that is a lot of women. Of course, no matter what you think about Jack Nicholson, the man is one of the best, if not the best, American actor of all time. Jack Nicholson has won so many awards, for so many different movies, that it is not even funny. This is one of the greatest men who ever lived, and has slept with more women than any man alive (accept for Hugh Hefner who started Playboy). His movies are great, and the only thing that is greater than the movies Jack Nicholson has played in is his acting talents as a whole. However, you are going to feel the same way after you see his great movies. These are movies that you are not going to be able to forget. If you like one of Jack Nicholson's movies, then you are going to like them all because they are all great. Each movie has something about it that makes it great to watch, and no two roles that he plays are the same as the other.
