Internet meme is a part of cultural information, such as a cultural practice or idea, that is transmitted orally or by repeated action from one mind to another. These are objects of interests passed along the internet from one person to another making that particular idea, picture, story or a video so popular that it makes it recognized all over the internet. Memes do not always get copied perfectly, and might indeed become advanced, combined or otherwise customized with other ideas, resulting in new memes. The term meme was first used in 1976 but received relatively little attention till the 1980’s.

•Tourist guy also known as WTC guy or tourist of death is an internet meme consisting of a man photographed on the twin tower while a plane is coming from behind. He has been photographed in photo shopped pictures after the 11th September 2001 attack.
•Star Wars kid, a St. Joseph high school kid named Raza recorded himself swinging a golf ball retriever around as if it were a weapon. Most believe he was imitating the Star Wars character Darth Maul with a light saber.

•Dancing Baby which was a recent hit also known as ‘Baby Cha-Cha” is an animated video of a baby dancing in his diapers for several minutes.
•The newest one seen on you-tube was the “iPhone Bill” where Justine, a girl getting a 300 page iPhone bill.

Internet meme is a trend that has caught on for years and will go on till people keep doing crazy things. Common people becoming famous over night, encourages other to share their videos, pictures or an idea online with their friends.
