The Big Sleep is a novel that has been made into many different movies. The novel was written by Mr. Raymond Chandler, and was published back in 1939. Now, there are many different versions of this movie, but the best one has to be the first one that was brought to film. This one was done by the great directer known as Howard Hawks, and he did a great job bringing this novel to the big screen. One reason why this movie was one of my favorites was because of all the great actors that were in this great film. The main stars of the film were Humphrey Bogart, Lauren Bacall, and Philip Marlow. If you have ever seen this movie, you know that in the film, Humphrey Bogart plays a private eye, and he does a great job at it. In fact, I think this is one of the reasons why I like the film so much. You cannot just have a great storyline, you also have to have a lot of great actors as well. Humphrey Bogart just so happens to be one of the best actors of all time. After you have seen this movie, you will agree that this is the best one that has been brought to film. However, the other versions of the movie were great, none of them seem to get the same type of feedback as the 1946 movie. The Big Sleep is like no story that you have ever heard before. In fact, The Big Sleep has such a deep story, that some say that it was hard to follow. In fact, that could be the only bad point for the movie.

When The Big Sleep came out most people agreed that it was a great film. In fact, most people had nothing but positive feedback on the movie. In fact, The Big Sleep is such a great movie that in 1997, the film was deemed culturally significant by the Library of Congress. After that, The Big Sleep was selected to be preserved in the National Film Registry, so the movie could never be forgotten. So it seems like The Big Sleep got nothing but great reviews from people, however, there are some people that found the film not as grand. Some of the critics that watched the film, said that the story was very hard to follow, and at times, it seem like the movie did not even have a plot at all. However, the actors worked so great together that it really did not matter about the story. Now, I do not agree with that at all. In fact, I think that is very far from the truth. To have a great movie like The Big Sleep, you have to have both great actors and a great storyline. So that means that The Big Sleep had to have both of those things. Anyone that does not feel that way, or says that the movie is hard to follow, is saying that they do not understand the movie. So they figure, if they cannot understand what is going on, then it must not be a great movie. I think that is an unfair label to give to a movie.

The Big Sleep is a movie that I am sure you are going to enjoy for some time to come. If you have never seen the movie (or any version of the movie, for that matter), then you should see this one first. After you watch this film, you are more than likely going to want to read the book. The novel itself is just as compelling as the movie, and is even more in detailed. This is one of those movies that you just have to go see. If you are lucky enough, you may be able to find this movie to buy on DVD. This would be the perfect movie to add to anyone's DVD collection. You are going to love this movie, even if it is a little bit dated.
